How do you adjust your CC discreetly?

I was at soccer practice today (I'm a coach, and this was a special session being coached by another, I was just watching/chasing balls) and my IWB holster came loose from my belt on one end. No exposure or anything but I had to adjust my holster and found myself wondering how to do so without drawing undo attention and "displaying" my weapon.

Ideas?

Only thing you can do is walk to a spot where people cant see you. Or just watch everyone's eyes to see when they arent looking then go for it. Or if you are coaching and this happens, tell them to run down to the other side of the field and fix it while they are running away.

Or if you are good at picking your nose, just think of it like that. Do it when nobody is looking. Not that any of us have ever done that...

Just do it....and don't give a rats ass. And if a lib turd makes a fuss at you just tell him or her they have a mental disorder and you will be calling the law on them for harassment.

Adjust with your forearm while you are stretching your back by putting your hands in the center of your back.

That is the method I use.

the belt clip came off, so it was a two handed process. I did what wooddoctor said and just did it, while trying to keep the shirt over it, left hand behind my back to hold belt and right hand to reattach the rear belt clip. This is second time this has happened while doing "physical" stuff. I had it happen when I was doing yard work. Guess I need a better belt.

Georgia is an open carry state. So I really don't care what people think. I did not mean to be insensitive To your situation. Just get use to that iron strapped to your side!

I would be hoping it didn't happen if you had to draw your firearm...

Mine does that fairly often. I drive all day and am in and out of the vehicle. I just reset mine and don't worry about it. I don't make a show of it, but don't try to hide somewhere either.

This time of year I wear hoodies a lot. If it's on the backside I stand against a wall with my hands behind me and do it with my hands behind me. If it is in front I use the big pocket in front by sticking my hands in and adjusting it that way. Also, that is the difference between a cheap holster and quality holster, my cheap holsters always fail me at some point, the quality ones rarely fail me to the point I almost forget they are there.

Start by scratching your junk. No one like to see that so they should look away long enough for you to adjust. Your gun I mean.

"Hey, isn't that Brad Pitt over there??!!"

Make adjustment while everyone is craning their necks to see

I'll stand next to something and use it as a screen. Every time I get in and out of my vehicle I use it to shield my gun-related actions from the views of others. Kind tough at a soccer practice/game since you're literally out in a field.

Seriously... Get a better belt and or holster. My first holster only had a single belt hook and it would move if my belt wasn't real tight. I have since changed to a holster with a hook on either side and it mounts to my belt and pants so securely that I can adjust it by adjusting my belt away from my holster. It just looks like I an hiking up my britches.

I don't have any experience in personal protection, but my guess is...assuming you're discreet...the only folks who will notice are those focused on identifying people who are carrying. And odds are, those folks will be able to spot you even when you aren't "adjusting".

It has happened to me twice, I just fixed it went on, not concerned what people thought. After the second time I bought new holster that clips on the bottom of my belt. No problem since.

I use a cross draw "paddle" holster when I carry my Ruger SP 101. I was headed to the car in the parking lot outside Wally World a week ago, all "felt" fine, and the whole shebang jumps off my pants/belt and hits the deck.

I picked up the "package", stuck it in my jacket pocket and reinserted it onto it's proper place between cars.

Up to this time, I was perfectly happy with the holster, how it "rode", et al. Then THIS!

Next, how to insure that this never happens again? I might not be so lucky to not have "observers" next time.

Gun "jumps onto the floor" like that, and you just know some panty wadded whimp is gonna "swear" that I drew on him/her.

I agree with warbirds new belt and/or holster. If I can't run or tumble without losing my only defense against a psycho I need to go back to the drawing board. Could even come down to how many belt loops are in the pants you wear with some holsters. Hope it helps, just a new guy with an opinion
