Hornady .38 SPCL Ammunition

Does anyone here know the difference in performance between the Hornady .38 SPCL(+P) 110gr FTX Critical Defense Load and the .38 SPCL 125gr XTP Custom? Follow-on question - in situations when a person might use a snub (up close) is the difference worth noting? Thanks for responses.

I have a S&W snubby .38 +p and I load it with the CD ammo with the +p. With approx 2" of barrel, I want to get the most out of the round. Plus I like the technology of the CD hollow point. In a self defense shooting within 8-10ft will it make a huge difference? Probably not....but its preference.
