hey guys i have my ccw in florida...so im looking on the map what does it mean that another state honor FL,does that mean i can carry and purchase a firearm in another state that honors fl...thank u

If another state "honors" your florida ccw it means that they acknowledge that the requirements to obtain your ccw in florida meet or exceed the requirements in their state so they will recognize your florida ccw as if it is one from their own.


think in terms of a driver's license. If you have a florida driver's license and you drive out of florida into georgia, georgia "honors' your florida driver's license and you don't need a separate georgia issued driver's license once there (all states honor each other's driver's licenses as far as i know)


ccw is like a driver's license though not every state with honor each others the way they do with driver's licenses so the list shows you which do and do not

As BGH1978 explained, it means that you can carry concealed in that state. It does not mean, however, that you can purchase, and receive, a firearm in that state.

Change that to "handgun".

Depending on the laws of your state and the other state, you may be able to purchase long guns; CCW permit has nothing to do with that.

You can only purchase a handgun in FL..the state which your CWP was issued along with a FL driver's license! You can purchase a handgun in another state but tHey will have to ship it to an FFL in FL!
