Holster suggestions for petite girl...???

I'm 5'2 and 110 lbs. I have a Beretta Nano and am looking for a holster that will allow me to carry concealed, in the winter at least. I know that it may be unrealistic for someone my size to carry concealed in the summer, with smaller shirts and clothing. I'm ok with that, but I'd still like to be as concealed as I can get, without being super uncomfortable.

I need a left hand holster and I want a belt holster. That's the only things I *think* that are on my wish list, besides of course...low profile. I'm short and thin, so I know almost no matter what I do, if I want to carry anything 9mm or larger, it's gonna be visible, I just want it to be the least noticeable possible. I also know that I don't want to carry in a purse. I know opinions differ on this, but I personally don't see the point in carrying, if it's gonna be tucked away in a purse and take time to get to.

I'm new to carrying and to this forum. So, if you use any acronyms, please let me know what they stand for. :) Also, any other suggestions you have, I'm open.

I was thinking of ordering one of these for my daughter to go with the gun that I want to give her for Christmas. It seems to conceal very well. But being a man, I have no idea how comfortable it may or may not be. LOL

+1 on the flash bang, it is my wife's first choice. She also carries in a day planner type folder, designed for concealment and rapid access. Consider those purpose built and designed devices as well as carrying on your person. I prefer to CARRY concealed, I do not want to have to locate my carry device then have to orient it and draw under stress. But I can see the advantage to those devices for certain guns and body frames (like you frame). Happy shopping.

It's really difficult to recommend one holster over another. My wife really likes the Crossbreed supertuck but an IWB doesn't work for everyone. The only thing I can say is that if you decide on an OWB please be sure it has sufficient retention. I am such an advocate of good retention it approaches paranoia. Some of those OWBs out there have such little retention the handgun can fall out when you sit down. I use the Crossbreed for CCW and the Blackhawk Serpa with ALS (automatic locking system) for OC. The Blackhawk has removed all of my concern for the weapon falling out or someone grabbing it from behind. Depressing the release button requires no extra time and it's very easy to get accustomed to.

Both the Galco King Tuk & the Crossbreed Super Tuck IWB (inside waistband holsters) would be excellent choices for your Beretta imvho. They are very comfortable & secure holsters which are great at concealing sidearms of varying sizes & calibers.

The beauty about the Galco King Tuk is that most of the reputable places that sell firearms will probably have the Galco holster on the store shelf ready to be bought. The Crossbreed holster would have to be special ordered and it costs more.

Welcome aboard.

For the Beretta Nano you might try the CrossBreed MiniTuck. I have one for my LCP and it works well. I've ordered one for my XDs but it isn't here yet.

One of the things you can do is to dress to hide the gun. You may be short and thin, like my sister, but you also have the opportunity to wear colorful decorative vests that look great and and are long enough to do a very nice job of hiding a pistol at 4:00 or 5:00 in a holster like a MiniTuck. If the color is uniform, and devoid of lines, it will hide the gun better than it it has lines on it.

Give it a try. You might be plesantly surprised. It works for my niece (slender 5'-6" athlete who played HS and College basketball) and my sisters.

Since you are new to CC and most of the advise so far is mostly from men, I would suggest that you visit The cornered cat, a web site for women who carry, by women who carry. good luck and welcome to the forum.

I just stumbled across this page and thought that it might help. Link Removed

The flashbang holster is absolutely hilarious. I thought it was a goof at first but it's a serious explanation of how to use the stupid thing. I can definitely understand the name "flashbang". :man_in_love: This is the silliest thing I have ever seen when it comes to ladies CCW. Would a woman actually wear that thing?

what do you think is so bad about it? Looks feasible to me, if the lady has enough of a bustline to conceal it,and will practice adequately with it, wear the right sort of covering garment. I've never seen one, don't know how it secures the gun, but I bet I could make one work, using a Kydex rig and a tension welt for security, so that the shooter need not hit any special straps or buttons to draw the gun.

I'm looking for the same advice, thanks for all the useful info!

I'm new to carrying concealed and wonder how women do it! I already feel like I carry too much crap around, but I'll gladly replace some of that useless stuff to protect myself and my family better.

I like the bra... but does having a gun that close to your chest make anyone nervous? Maybe it's just because I'm new to this... :)

I'm 5'3" so I know your problem. I have the best luck with the IWB Crossbreed holsters. I carry a Ruger LCR or a S&W 9 compact. I adjust the position of the gun low so only the handle is above the waist of my pants with the handle canted down and I carry in front of my hip. I have played with the posiiton of the guns so they conceal and feel good. I have found if you dampen the leather and wear it aroun it molds to you a lot faster and when it drys it keeps its shape. Being so short I have had to trim part of the leather off the bottom where it digs into my leg when sitting. I also have a LCP and carry it in a Galco IWB that is pretty comfortable. I am most comfortable carrying in the cross draw position but the gun prints too much that way.

My sister appendix carries her LCP in a Remora. She sometimes does that with her Walther Model 9, but that thing is so small she thinks she could almost conceal it in a bikini if she wanted to. My sister is 5'-0" if she stands tall and takes a deep breath. Tiny little squirt, but really feisty.

The relative size of the LCP and the Walther.

The walther is chambered in .25ACP which is about on a par with a .22 short for muzzle energy. I told her to be sure to shoot them the eye if she ever needs it. That said, she always has it with her.

I had the same problem... Until ingot my Crossbreed Mini-Tuck. I can easily conceal my LCP under fitted clothing when positioned slightly past "4 o'clock" I loved it so much that I got a SuperTuck for my Glock 27 too (which I cannot completely conceal on my small frame... It is my "winter carry gun")
