Now, not only has Holder cleared the way for Obama to use drones against US citizens - without Constitutionally required trial in open court - overseas, he has now OK'd their use on US soil as well.

President Barack Obama has the legal authority to unleash deadly force—such as drone strikes—against Americans on U.S. soil without first putting them on trial, Attorney General Eric Holder wrote in a letter released Tuesday.

I faxed this article to ALL of my legislators, state AND federal, along with the following letter:

AG Holder's recent opinions are in clear violation of Article 3 Section 3 of the US Constitution, which states, "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. NO PERSON SHALL BE CONVICTED OF TREASON UNLESS ON THE TESTIMONY OF TWO WITNESSES TO THE SAME OVERT ACT, OR ON CONFESSION IN OPEN COURT.

The CONGRESS shall have power to declare the Punishment of Treason…" Those accused of treason must be tried in OPEN COURT based on first-hand testimony of specific acts of treason (terrorism is treasonous), and that only CONGRESS has the authority to determine the punishment for treason. AG Holder's opinion is a violation of the US Constitution AND posse comitatus, which prohibits the use of our military (or their implements of war) on US soil against US citizens. A drone attack on a US citizen is an act of war against that citizen. As James Madison explained, "The executive has no right, in any case, to decide the question, whether there is or is not cause for declaring war."

AG Holder's opinions constitute flagrant violations of the Constitutional separation of powers. It is time to draw up articles of impeachment and remove him from office. His opinions are steadily concentrating powers explicitly enumerated to the legislative branch by the Constitution in the hands of the president alone. This must be stopped immediately.

Each one of us needs to contact ALL of our legislators, both state AND federal. While state legislators may not be able to take direct action against Holder's opinion, they CAN pass resolutions denouncing Holder's opinions and calling for his impeachment. It is time for Holder to be impeached.

Also, I live in a school zone. I bet they use two drones to do their work in GFSZ. One to blame the first blast on the guy they kill in the second identical blast. We need DFSZ. (It's a joke libtards!)

If only it was that simple. You'll notice that it says "....not engaged in combat."

The drones are meant for those of us who have proven our worth in combat. The ones who call each other "brother" and live every moment with the taste of burnt flesh, blood, grit, and the smell of smoke, cordite and rotting flesh forever fresh in our memories. The ones whose only dreams are vivid memories that one would rather forget. The ones whose best friends are no longer here. The ones who have sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States and mean it. The war is coming. You'd be a fool not to see it. Save your ammo. The American soldier is a thing of the past. This is not America anymore.

Sen Paul did not quite accomplish what he set out to do! Just because he received a lame letter from that piece of crap AG does not change a thing. You can always tell when Holder and that garbage in the whitehouse are lying---their mouth is moving or they are writing it down on a piece of paper. Rand should have kept up on this disgusting AG and told him right to the cameras that his "trust" of anything the man says or does is questionable at best, particularly since it took days for the guy to actually come out and write this trite memo--what the hell took so long? The "not engaged in combat" is a term of art, not a legal term. "Engaged in combat" can be redefined to fit just about any situation the government wishes. Given that a previous White House Resident quibbled over the definition of "is" and swore that (what most of us would call) sex really isn't sex at all, I'm not really too sure what to expect from the present resident at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in the way of definitions.
