History Channel now casting season 2 of TOP SHOT!

I like watching that show, but could do without the drama. The producers probably get them going so that it has that "reality" feel to it. If it were just a bunch of people up there shooting for score then it probably would be like watching golf. Good luck Festus.

Called today by the Casting Producer

I was on the phone for over an hour with the casting producer today. The next hurdle is getting my HR dept to sign off on the time off that will be needed in the event I make it to round two (filming the show).
I have to make a 3-5 minute video and give them my personality, knowledge and love of firearms without using cue cards or a script...should be a piece of cake. I seriously hope that some of you will throw your hat in the ring as well. I would love to see other USA CARRY members show up and let them know just how much gun guys (and gals) we are!

I think I'll try out, too! After watching the trucker, Jim Sinclair, I feel I could probably do just as well. I am NOT a firearms instructor, LEO, ex-military Green Beret, gunsmith, or other expert. But I do a pretty good job for a 63-year-old retiree. Long as I can wear my glasses, them targets are goin' down!

'Course, I'm not too sure I could hammer a nail with my XD, but I"d still give it a good shot. Wouldn't stand a chance at the $100G prize, but it would sure be fun!

Just sent in my casting video...

My casting video has been shot and sent in. The application has been faxed. I am currently dealing with HR from my work to try and wrangle time off if needed.

What have you guys and gals done? Lets get some more USACARRY folks in the mix. This forum has some of the most knowledgeable folks in the business!

Personally I'd like to see them ditch the "survivor" format and just do a 16-week (or however long) competition with all different weapons. The "voting off" cr@p and the drama gets to be a little much. They could still come up with a way to let you get to know the shooters.

To keep it interesting, they could also do something where after a certain number of weeks, the bottom X number of contestants have to leave, etc.

Well, judging by the previews for next week's episode it looks like they listened to me!

No more teams and no more (we hope) voting cr@p.
