That was incredible! I have a hawk who likes to use the top of my metal chimney spark guard as a lookout. The unmistakable sound of his talons and feet I hear inside quite loudly. We have an unacceptably high death rate of hawks, who are hit by cars when they cross main roads here, while zooming-in on fiield critters. I hate to see their bodies and broken feathers on the road, but may only hope that the gene pool of hawks becomes stronger as those smart enough not to get hit by vehicles reproduce. We are destroying their habitat at such a rate, they sit atop electric/telephone/cable poles as their vantage points, for miles. We may see the end result of our greed lying motionless on the road, their feathers sometimes blown by the breeze, giving the illusion they are still alive, but their flattened bodies exposing the truth.
