HI-Point 9mm Carbine scope mount

Hello,

I recently received a Hi Point 9mm carbine as a gift and it came with a replacement mount for the rear sight assembly. I figured this mount to accomodate any weaver style scope but when I got my scope, it would not sit on this replacement mount. Is there another mount of some sort that I need to get in order to mount my scope in addition to the replacement mount the carbine came with or is there something I'm missing?

I figured it out... there was an metal insert that needed to be removed in order for scope to fit flush. Now if I can figure out how to delete this thread?? Any help on that would be appreciated
