Beautiful...Bush is such a model person. He's not perfect but at least he tries his best and he is very sincere, just as much I like his mom.
I don't want to offend. I'll say that George W. Bush was respectable and gave the office respect, unlike rockstar President Obama. However, he was not served well by his Neoconservative advisors, Karl Rove top of the list. Neocons are not much different than Socialists if you concentrate on their results and ignore their jingoism - they are "big government, period.
Please consider:
President George W. Bush harmed us greatly, financially and in liberty.
*executive orders (i.e., circumventing Congress) = 291 2001-2009
*Department of Education more than doubled during W. Bush tenure
*first president since WWII who presided over an economy that hired more federal employees than the private sector's hiring of employees
*first president to promote minority home financing knowing that low to no credit integrity would still qualify minorities to get loans - in other words tossing out the door the rules that the rest of hard working Americans have to abide by, still to this day -
refer to Fannie And Freddie - thus fueling the already running economy-collapsing engine
*completely unnecessary Iraq War - hundreds of billions of our dollars without anything to show for it except an open door for Iran to move in - which it's doing
*completely unnecessary Afghanistan War - it should have been more surgical-strike driven than a sweeping war of occupation - and oh yeah, more hundreds of billions of our dollars without anything to show for it except a salivating Taliban awaiting our announced exit
*Patriot Act - nothing patriotic about it - I call it the dormant bonfire into which the U.S. Constitution will be thrown and Obama will probably be the one to open those particular pages in the more than 300 page liberty-stealing document which includes the ability of the Feds to "sneak and peak" into anybody's home or property and plant monitoring devices then leave making it look like a burglary - and oh yeah, the "Act" contains provisions to suspend the Constitution - all in the name of and under the guise of, protection.
So, Obama is only worse than George W because he exploited the incredible damage created by his predecessor. We've been sold out for a long time by a series of presidents and congresses. It's our own fault. We've been dazed with entertainment and form over substance when we should have been more sober and involved in the everyday affairs in all levels of government. Instead, we gave token attention to our demise only when elections drew close. Our kids are graduating from high school with a third grade understanding of American history but are experts naming American Idol participants ... and on. We slept while both parties heaped more laws upon us choking free enterprise and essential liberties. We played while our Congress hid economic and liberty-killing bills under quaint and palatable names like, Patriot Act and Clean Energy Act. We allowed lobbyists to become more substantive to politicians than are we but simultaneously swallowed the "form over substance" they swapped for truth. We're responsible for an America already running off the track.
Corrupt government is America's fault and it started in the home - when moms left home to work and allowed public schools to assume child-rearing. Corrupt government got worse when we drank the labor union koolaid that tax-paid government workers need to be organized. Because of this single infringement on tax paying citizens, many cities, counties and states are bankrupt from paying outlandish pensions to retired tax payer-funded government workers.
America is dying because we felt a need to find an "expert" behind every tree before making a decision - we lost common sense and trust in our own empiracle knowledge. Our courts are slaves to the psychiatry industry in dealing with heinous criminals allowing them a way out and mitigated sentences. The world laughs at our back-breaking atempts to appear fair with the criminal at the victims' expense.
America is terminally ill because we're infactuated with multiculturalism. We're so in need of "being liked." But really, nations are not unlike families which thrive with commonality and unified purpose. Multiculturalism is the antithesis of national unity but we find sophisticated ways to believe the lie and propaganda of multiculturalism.
America's demise won't go away with an election.
