i have a question if u can buy a handgun and pass the back ground check at gun dealer then will u be able to get conceal carry without any problems this is in mississippi i guess what im asking is if u pass background check at gun shop will u also pass when u apply for conceal carry permit

why do you ask? there anything you worried about might show up? if so, then what? some states require you to take some sort of training course before you can get a license to carry. im not familiar with mississippi laws though.

You should, but I know here in Kansas they do a more extensive background on conceal then when buying a gun! On my conceal background they dug up stuff I even forgot about "nothing bad" but it delayed my background another 30 days!!!

best piece of advise i can give, is if there is anything in your past, you should get hold of a lawyer that has experience with firearms law, snd go from there.

You might want to direct your question to the Mississippi forum.

Each state has or can have different regulations regarding the state level background checks for a cary permit. You would best be served if you contact a gun rights lawyer in you state that would be able to answer your question "by the book". When it comes to questions about your Constitutional rights, any web forum is the last place you want to get advice.
