Ok I have a Rem 870 Express 20 gauge
Bought it long before Joe Bidens remarks. But seriously it has a 26 inch barrel and I would like to know if it would matter if I did not have it threaded for the choke tube if I were to have it shortened to say maybee 18 inches. The only thing it is used for is plinking or sheet shooting. What do you think?

My opinion, 18" is too short for skeet. But if you take it to a gun smith they will be able to shorten it and re-thread it for a choke tube (at least they could when I was thinking of shortening my 30" to 28", not quite sure if they are lopping off 8").

a replacement barrel...18" ... 3"chamber for remington 870 20g costs $124 at tjgeneral.. just one of the vast suppliers of barrels.... one I saw was $99 .... might be just about as cheap to buy one..... look around ... google it and you'll see a bunch of stores selling barrels
