Help me sort this out.

I've been confused about the differences between Magnum Research, IWI Israeli Weapons Industries and IMI Israeli Military Industries. I own a Jericho 941S which is made by IWI. At the store where I work, we have a Magnum Research Baby Desert Eagle 9mm made with the IWI logo on it. We also have 2 .44 magnum Desert Eagles. One has the Magnum Research logo on it and the other one has the IWI logo on it. Does anyone know what this relationship is and who actually makes what? Even though I work in a gun store I have not found a satisfactory answer. BTW...I LOVE my Jericho. I had to order the holster from Israel.

There was am article within the last few Weeks that someone was bringing in a limited number of Israeli made models. I wish I could remember where I read that, google it.

I too carry and love my Jericho (UZI Eagle). Mine is labeled IMI.

IWI was formally known as IMI which was the government industry (IWI was actually part of IMI, but the SK group bought the rest of the company from the government. Now everything new from the SK group is labeled IWI. The Jericho is based off the CZ75, and has been manufactured by different companies.

Magnum Research: Baby Eagle/Jericho
IWI/IMI imported through Mossberg: Uzi Eagle
IWI/IMI imported through KBI: Jericho 941

"The Jericho 941 is a double action/single action semi-automatic pistol developed by Israel Weapon Industries and introduced to the market in 1990 as the Jericho 941. It was first imported into the US in 1990 by K.B.I., Inc. of Harrisburg, PA. It was later imported by O.F. Mossberg & Sons and named the Uzi Eagle and by Magnum Research, Inc. as the Baby Eagle until the end of 2008. Some pistols from Magnum Research are marked Desert Eagle Pistol. Beginning January 1, 2009 until they ceased business on January 29, 2010, K.B.I., Inc. (which also imported Charles Daly firearms) resumed importation of the handgun as the Jericho. Magnum Research, now a division of Kahr Arms, announced a renewed importation of the Jericho." - wikipedia

Kind of confusing. Basically from what I remember, they were being imported by KBI (which also imported Charles Daly firearms). KBI went out of business, and no Jericho's were being imported for a time (sad day when I couldn't find a single Jericho in my area of Oregon). I am not sure who resumed importing the Jericho, but Magnum Research, now owned by Khar Arms, is also manufacturing them again under the name Jericho (previously Baby Eagle). I believe MRI (Magnum Research Inc.) is manufacturing and importing the Jericho.

I am not 100% sure...so if someone has better information, post it up.

Well, it still is a big confusing, but that's the most information that I have heard or read so far. I got my Jericho in 2010 and it is stamped KBI aka Charles Daly. Now, let me ask you this...have you had any problems with yours? I started shooting USPSA with mine a few years ago and it started a progressive streak of jamming. I finally got frustrated enough with it that I sent it back to Davidson's (Gallery of Guns) and they repaired it. They had to re-machine the barrel locking lugs and the slide (at no cost to me). Now it works great! I was a bit disappointed that an Israeli weapon, used by their security forces, would have such a flaw in it.

I'll try and get a timeline put together to get the confusion out if it because it really is confusing lol

No problems with mine, although yours has had many more rounds than mine especially if you use it for competition. No failures for me with about 1500 rounds through it.
