If you pulled this off IllinoisCarry (I'm a member), then you know that it's a horrible idea to discuss the bill (good, bad, ugly, whatever) because antis are monitoring these forums. How do you think we got the SBR bill through? Please refrain from discussing this other than "I like it" or "I like this, this, and this, but I see a few issues" and remember, this is preliminary and will be amended. The objective here is to not have it go back and forth between the House and Senate. As soon as it's voted on in the House (super-majority required which shouldn't be an issue as Todd is lobbying for votes), it will go to the Senate, then Quinn will sign it or face a July 6 deadline and non-compliance with an order issued by a federal appellate court.

The situation in Illinois is disheartening as the political circus continues with HB 1155. HB 0997 sits on the side lines as Madigan and his puppets play games with bans and amendments. In the mean time bad amendments have been filed on 0997, I don't think most will pass but there are some scary ones too. That's why it is imperative that you contact your representatives as well as file witness slips.

hopefully with 8,000 at IGOLD this year, maybe they finally got the point? Naaaa they refuse to see anything past their agendas. But I'll tell you that the politics and games they are playing are REALLY starting to piss me off! Tick Tock Tick Tock... Boy oh boy these anti gunners are going to be scrambling on June 9th if they don't hurry up and pass a good bill.

Well only two more amendments to 1155 passed today. No carry in restaurants (that serve booze...so no restaurants) and uhh something else. Rep. Dunkin was frothing at the mouth over his $1M insurance amendment that didn't pass (not even close) and referred to IL as the "State of Chicago." It's either shall issue or constitutional carry and in the case of the latter, once the state starts getting railed with lawsuits over civil rights violations since there is preemption, they'll change their tune. When a good lawyer starts correlating bogus arrests with those carrying a firearm, concealed, open, doesn't matter, the state is gonna be in DEEP ****. Nine figure lawsuits, maybe 10 figures.

You can bet your posterior that CA7 is watching this because when, not if, a lawsuit over this crap ends up back in front of them, IL will be in some serious trouble. I believe Lisa is colluding with Quinn and her dad. This is a damn mess but did anyone expect anything less from the State of Chicago? I sure didn't.

What are we up to 60 potential amendments on HB 1155? It's sick.

No carry in restaurants is bad bad bad.


Lawsuits yes, meanwhile peoples lives are ruined in the process and won't be repaired for 5-10 years after the arrests are made.


I suppose wishful thinking had me hoping for better.
