Has anyone had experience with the Lynn,Ma licensing?

I am scheduled for an April 10 processing of my application in Lynn,MA. I intend to submit ALP for a class-A. Just wondering if anyone has any experience (good or bad) with the process here. I've read that Lynn is a "green" city, so I'm going into this positive, but it doesn't hurt to hear of some real life experiences here. I spoke with two officers a few weeks ago, on a walk with my dog, and they seemed to think the chief was pretty liberal with his issuance, pending no prior troubles with the law (of which I have none). Just hoping to get an unrestricted license and not to have to hire an attorney to appeal is all.

Best of luck to you! I have heard the same, that they are green. If you are worried about needing to speak to an attorney, I would speak to one now before you go for your appointment. It might save you some money in the long run. In my opinion, you will be fine...but better safe than sorry.

Let us know how it goes!

Check on northeastshooters. I know that there are several active people there that live in Lynn.

Thanks for the responses.Anxiously awaiting Apr 10th to get this application in, then for the long wait till I can finally hit the range again. It's been awhile.

Did you need letters of Recommendation? Or a "reason" letter? If so I have written templates on my Gun Sense series at #19 and #33 to help take the stress out of those 'hoops' some chiefs put people through here in Ma. People dont need 'luck' or a lawyer to gain their license in Ma, all they need is a little education. This information is for anyone who may need it, pass it on. Sincerely, Mark Shean
