MSHC is offering a handgun training program just for teachers and school administrators...this class normally costs $50 but is offered FREE to teachers of Middlesex, Gloucester, Mathews or Lancaster. Although I no longer have children in school, Thanks you for this service to our schools. I believe every able bodied school employee of good reputation should be armed and ready. That is assuming they are willing to assume the responsibility.

There was a report a few weeks back about a training facility in TX that offered up 400 (four HUNDRED) seats to educators, and they filled every one of them!

A bill to allow school boards to authorize staff to carry is still wending it way through my state's legislature. Passed by a 3:2 ratio in the house. Awaiting senate action.
