hammer down or cocked?

I carry a Bersa thunder 380 plus its a sa/da pistol.. I was curious if you guys would carry cocked or not

And by cocked I mean the hammer.. there is ALWAYS one chambered

as long as my trigger is protected by a holster, it's cocked and ready to go. Without a holster, whenever the gun is being moved or unprotected, the safety is on.

What is the trigger pull in lbs. in SA mode vs. DA ?

Sa is about 4lbs da is about 8

I'd probably keep the safety on, but with an 8lb pull you should be OK either way.

I carry in a fobus paddle holster so the trigger is well protected. And the safety is also a decocker

I wouldn't leave the Bersa Thunder hammer cocked with a round chambered.

I carry a Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact hammer down and chambered. The DA pull is no big deal to me.

I sometimes carry a Bersa Thunder 380 also and it is usually with a round chambered and the safety on.

The Bersa Thunder is not designed nor meant to be carried with the hammer cocked.
