My first try at a home defense shotgun. Red dot sight, flashlight, laser, adjustable stock, mag extension.
It's an 870 in 20 Ga.
I showed you mine, now show me yours.

Benelli 12 Ga
Magazine extension and quad rail - shell holder.

Tip: when installing a quad rail, pay attention to where the little pin falls LOL. I like to have never found that little bastard :p

I'm and old fashioned kind of guy. I love my Side-by-side 12 Gauge with open hammers and dual triggers. My 'Coach' gun. Will try to upload a pic.

Very cool, I'm planning on getting one of those too, but for a different reason.

Looks 'Tacticool'... Now, this is just me, but I have never found a need for a red dot or any optic for a HD shotgun. I personally have never had much trouble with point-shooting w/ #4 or 00. To each his own I suppose, happy hunting.

Oh, I don't have any pics but I have an older Mossberg 500 pump(18"/6 shot) w/ a pistol grip & 6 pos. stock as well as a Norinco copy of an 870(20"/7 shot) that's been painted in my own version of 'Desert Shrub'...

I agree on the "Point & Shoot" deal. Flashlight & laser will do the trick.
But I do take this to the range from time to time, & I am impressed with the accuracy of this thing throwing slugs at 25 yds.

Yeah, I think for turkey and deer the optic has a place. If it's close enough a red dot would be good... there's been a time or two using slugs that an optic would have saved me from low rib cage/gut shots... eww.

Neat. By the way, I have an 870 18 inch 12 gauge at the ready if any zombies make it past two blasts from the coach gun. :)

I have a Stevens 320 Security in 12 ga. I attached a flashlight to the fore end of the pump with electrical tape. No need for optics at the range I will be using it, bead sight isnt even necessary. Point and shoot. Cant upload a picture because my ipad doesnt support it.

25 Yrds, dam you must live in a bodacious house. 3/5/7 yards usually will do, especially in a standard abode.

That's why I keep a 2 3/4 inch trap load as first shot, 00 buckshot to follow. Close range the trap load is extremely effective, with buckshot to follow for the unlikely need of an additional shot.

Never meant to say I would use the red dot in the house. Just figured if I wanted to use the shotty for ZOMBIES or hunting, it would be there.

I have two HD shotguns,my latest is a Win Model 12 with an 18" barrel and a polychoke. traded some gun work for it! was at the range yesterday and put it through its paces, what a wonderfully smooth fast shotgun! It has been deemed the go-to shotgun. It needs a new buttstock but that is minor. the bluing is rather wore and there is light rust so after a thorough cleaning I will duracoat the metal. It shoots great groups with #4 Buckshot! The other HD is a Mossberg 500, 20" barrel. fixin to drill and tap the reciever for a rail and put a red dot on, kinda for longer range Scavenger control, it also has a 200 lumen light attached. will see if I can get some pics posted B/A!
