Gun Show

I live here in TN and have been going to gun shows and flea markets as long as i can remember. They had a gun show going on in Nashville this weekend so i thought me and the wife would go check it out. We could not believe all the people that were there this year. There were people lined up outside in the rain trying to get a ticket to even get into the door. Just to get in the door it took almost 40 minutes. I also noticed a big jump in vendor sales and people trying to sale. I mean they had AR-15s up there jacked way up ranging from basic models $1700 to $2500 and some tables even had them higher and i am not just referring to the AR everything was way over priced even the revolvers. As we all know ammo and gun sales have jumped way up but i was very disappointed to see this at a gun show i have went to many times over the years. I have been collecting guns for a very long time. But it seems now days it is getting harder and harder to even get a good deal at the gun shows. Up here in TN anyways. Just thought i would share.

Wife wanted a .38 special snub for carry. I said not for $700.00 bucks not happening !

While I'm glad to see new enthusiasm, new people exercising their 2A rights, and all the votes with their wallets, I'll be glad when things get back to normal.

Gonna be exhibiting in one here on Feb. 2nd.
Sounds like about the best way to be assured of getting in!

Seriously though, the guy running vendor signup for the show says attendance doubled last year. He predicts an even bigger increase since the re-election of Obama and the gun ban legislation scare.

Somewhat on the same subject, saw on the news last week that SC CWP registrations tripled last year.

I ONLY buy at gun shows. The best deals in Denver are at guns shows (buying from the smaller dealers from around the state). As for attendance, the last show I went to (about 3 weeks ago) was the same as you described with lines out the door to get in. We stood in a snow-covered parking lot in about 20 degree weather while we waited. The prices were the same too. Coincidently, I went with my dad, he too was searching for a .38 snubby to add to his carry arsonel. The prices were just a bit too high to be realistic.

I never buy at gun shows, prices are too high.

While this may be the case most of the time, it's not always the case. I ended up finding the sling I wanted for my new AR for about $10 cheaper at my gun show this past weekend than I've found it anywhere online or in stores. That said, firearm prices and a LOT of ammo/mag prices were through the roof. $1/rnd of 5.56mm???? I don't think so, I'll get my .30-06 instead. =P

Gun Salesman of the Year for 4+ years running. Congratulations to the current piece of garbage in the whitehouse. At least this is one award he deserves unlike the ridiculous Nobel Peace Prize that the cretins in Norway came up with.
