Gun show concealed carry

I went to another gun show this past weekend. I had to buy another gun, since I'd already ordered a holster for it. Anyway that was how I justified it.

It was the second gun show I've been to in the past year and also the second one that did NOT prohibit concealed carry. This one just didn't have any gun buster signs, the earlier one had signs that permitted it.

I still haven't seen any businesses that encourage concealed carry, but I'm always hoping to see some around here.

Peggy. You are awesome!! I love that you bought a holster & then went & bought the gun to put in it. I have actually done that myself [emoji1]. I thought I was maybe the only person to do that, as to justify a new purchase. I laughed very hard when I read your post!! Thank you for that, and also making me not feel alone in the very many ways I come up with to buy another gift for myself. "Well I have the holster already, so it would be kinda dumb not to buy the gun for it" - is along the lines of the way I thought about that one. Hahahaha you're awesome!! I'm glad I'm not alone! If you ever come to MA, not that you'd want to, let me know, cause I feel like I owe you a box of ammo or something This is funny as hell. I almost feel vindicated or something. Thanks again! If you have anymore excuses that you've sold yourself , please share them, as I bet I've used some of the same tactics on myself too. Sorry to get off topic, but this is something that I don't get to share much. Thank you for posting. I feel like a new man after that loud long laugh. I needed that [emoji23]

I've never done that before but I'm almost as bad. I bought a gun once because someone gave me some ammo and I didn't have a gun that could use it.

@jtg452 - that is one that I haven't thought of yet! However, if you don't mind, I might have to borrow your idea in the near future. Like say a little before Christmas or after New Years. Or maybe next week [emoji4]. Thanks for the pro-tip!

I don't usually have a "Reason". But I get in a rut sometimes . Like, I'm going to pick up my 6th 1911 in a year, tomorrow.
Had a run on revolvers a short time ago, only revolver I had was a Cheap 22 cowboy gun, now I'm up to 5. Once I get on a roll, it's hard to stop.
Friend of mine just got an SKS, & I fell in love with it, so here we go again on the "HUNT". I'm addicted to the "DEAL".
Good for you Peggy, keep up the good work. Fill that safe while you can.

All of the gun shows I've been to in the last few years in Michigan prohibit loaded firearms. Unfortunately, all of the gun shows I've been to in Michigan have been a waste of time anyway.

Missoak, I totally agree with you that all the gun shows I've been to in the past few years have been a complete waste of time. There are no deals to be had on guns, and ammo is just as expensive. The only good thing, if you even consider this as being that good, is that you can buy as much ammo as you can afford. Even at that, I've yet to see a fair price when buying in bulk at gun shows. There is just nothing special there anymore. There was a time back in the day, when you would wait for the gun shows to pop up, as they were the only place to get hard to find things, and awesome deals on everything. They just suck now. You're lucky to even save the $$ you would spend on shipping if you got it online now. They won't even bother to haggle anymore. That's the price & if you don't like it then don't buy it, is pretty much the standard at them now. If I'm going to spend 1k bucks and pay full price at a gun show, I'd expect some type of discount or some free ammo or something. I get treated waaayyy better at my LGS, so I've pretty much just stuck with them, private sales, and anything I can get a good deal or free shipping online.

I agree with what you've said. But to be honest, gun shows were the greatest thing ever, then the INTERNET came along. I still find deals every now & then. But in all honesty, I'm a retired old fart, & I go just for something to do.

The last gun show I went to here in Idaho, the sign at the door said no loaded guns allowed. It didn`t say no concealed carry (that I can remember) or anything like that, so if they some how figured out that you were concealed carrying the most they could do is ask you to leave. No gun signs here in Idaho carry no weight of law.
