Gun Sales up by 20%

Gun sales are spiking, up by 20% over last year. Partly because of recent shootings, partly because of Obama possibly being re-elected.

It seems Gun classes for safety and conceal carry are doing well also. Glad to hear this, hopefully we will soon have a high new record of conceal carry people in the U.S.

What thoughts do you have on this? Have you purchased any new guns in 2012? I have not bought any guns this year, but I already have two good carry guns and a good home defense gun.

Adding another Beretta M9 to my collection & purchased more ammo but nothing more than what I typically purchase.

I already have most of the items I like or want.

Bought a Ruger SR9C for my wife early this year mainly because of the rising number of personal attacks everywhere.

Also bought myself a S&W Governor for carrying on our ranch.

Would have bought both of these anyway; the current political environment was not an influence.

Been reading about the new 9mm S&W Shield and striker-fired FNH guns. Both sound like good alternative carry guns to my Springfield XD for summer carry.

I've bought two this year, and if I am able to get money together I'll be getting a third.

For carry guns, this year I purchased a 9mm Baby Desert Eagle for myself and a .38 S&W 442 for the wife. I use a Glock 22 for home defense. I didn't buy anything out of the Obama re-election hysteria. I'm not too afraid of Obama taking my guns, I just want to be able to defend myself from the hoardes of criminals (illegals) that Obama thinks should be allowed to stay in our country. Democrats are always harping on Bush (who I am equally ashamed of, by the way)for letting a bunch of illegals into the country, then their messiah goes and does the same thing. There's the pot calling the kettle half black!

Try EXCLUSIVELY BECAUSE OF THE POSSIBLITY THAT THE PIECE OF GARBAGE MIGHT GET RE-ELECTED. I and many others purchased our firearms ONLY because this piece of garbage is in the whitehouse and elected by an uninformed, stupid, ignorant pile of American voters.

I believe Obama will re-instate the ban on assault rifles soon as he is re-elected. He will never take away handguns, hunting rifles, or shotguns. Actually about all they care about is calming some people down. That's why banning assault rifles happen, as a gesture to anti-gun people that he's doing something.

Think about it, taking away all guns would put to many people out of work.

I've got quite a few guns but I need more ammo. I'm not short, but I'm a firm believer that you can never have too much ammo. I wouldn't mind more guns though. Another dozen would be great!

It's reassuring to know that assault rifles are the only gun we have to fear. When the criminals and nut jobs find out they can use another type of gun just as easily, we are all in trouble. :sarcastic:

Well the government can't hardly stop the sales of all guns. Criminals ALWAYS are able to get guns, that is why we need more conceal carry people. Still wondering if Obama will maybe put a limit on ammo you can buy? It doesn't bother me if he does because I don't store a lot of ammo. Once I break a gun in all I shoot is my carry ammo every other month.
