Gun owners are "going Gandhi" in New York

I'm still a cheesehead, though I am stuck here in Mass for a bit. When I get feeling a bit low, I go read the WI gun laws. Not much to read there, which makes me incredibly happy.

The people in this part of the country have been so knuckled under it is enough to make a person sick to their stomach. Many here in Mass are HOPING they get to keep their 10 round AR mags. They will feel that is a victory. They think that having to get a license to own a gun and having to register it are normal. They look at me like I just grew a third eye in my forehead when I tell them that most of the country is not that way.

Oh, a few other things, to get a license here, a person needs (3) reference letters, fingerprints, a full background check, an interview with the Police Chief. The PC may decide you are "not suitable". In some towns, no one is suitable. In others, everyone gets a "restricted" license, specifying exactly when they can carry their weapon. This suitableness has no rules, he may just not like the fact you are wearing a Packers baseball hat.

I am planning on coming back in a few years, I am counting on all you to not F it up.

I feel your pain StuckinMass... The USAF has me stationed in the PRNJ with some of the strictest gun laws in the US. Right now I am deployed and dont even have the opportunity to try and purchase a new firearm before they are all banned. So I am hoping that it takes some time for all of this crap to see it self through, so when I do come home I dont have a new set of restrictions laid upon me.

My home state is red blooded Indiana where any law abiding citizen can obtain a carry permit, and if you have to kill an intruder in your home his family cannot file a civil suit against you even if you are cleared of a justified shooting. in NJ you can be sued by the criminal or his blood sucking family because you tried to defend yourself.

I have 3 years before I an eligable to retire fom the USAF and return to a Red Blooded state that honors my 2A rights. Cannot wait to leave the PRNJ

Keep up the fight Patriots.

I used to live in NJ, first 23 years of my life. When I moved to NY, I thought I was in Montanna, the laws were so much more free about gun ownership. New Jersey, if not the worst, is sure in contention for being the worst.

It's like we're not one country, but 50 little countries. Above all else, and just as important as maintaining 2A rights, this disparity in the laws from state to state is something that has to be fixed. How come we can respect each other's driver's licenses so freely (hell, I can even drive in FRANCE with my NY license!), but carrying or buying a firearm in a different state can be such a hassle? It's ridiculous.

Thanks for your service, son. Safe home to Indiana.

I am not familiar with the quote referenced. If the quote is incorrect, please provide the correct quote. Thanks in advance.

I believe you can be disciplined, without wearing a uniform. That said, I did retire after 22 years in the military. I'll grant, some of the best discipline is found in an armed military force... But military discipline isn't the only discipline that is necessary to be an armed populace. Some sound battle tactics I learned when I was hunting squirrels as a kid... like moving when the enemy is making noise... and stalking... and camouflage. Being disciplined can also mean knowing when to offensively attack and/or when to just patiently wait; it can also mean taking that last cautious breath and releasing about half of it just prior to squeezing the trigger.
I don't believe George was talking of joining up with the national army... I believe (could be mistaken) at that time it wasn't to be intact for more than two years. ;)

And I believe that may be one of my top 5 favorite posts ever from this forum.
Great job, brother, and thanks for posting it.

I really feel sorry for gun owners in NY state but a large majority of voters in the state and most of the politicians no longer believe in the Constitution or the rule of law. Most of the Northeast, IL, and CA are a lost cause. There are still free states out here in flyover territory where people are still committed to individual liberty. You are not going to win the argument or confrontation in a state like NY. You are living in hostile territory and behind enemy lines. It's time to leave. Just don't bring the progressive ideas with you.

Things across the nation are looking scary, folks. Well, we try to be peaceful but even a mouse will bare it's teeth when cornered with nothing else left to do but fight.

Thanks!..........

". . .if anything, a mass civil disobedience in NY will just be a small window of things to come if Fienstein gets her way an entire Country...Hope they're planning on building a few more prisons, because theyre gonna need 'em."

We need the prisons for the treasonous politicians that think that they can circumvent the Constitution for their political and personal self-aggrandizing agendas!

Nah, they won't need any more prisons, they have FEMA (Extermination) camps. As for our Constitution, it was a tremendous document put together by a group of men which we will never see the likes of again. A document so simplistic and yet so all encompassing that it made us the greatest nation in the world. Now, the likes of the trash we have in Washington are shredding it and turning us into a totalitarian state and part of the NWO. But, that's OK, since the NWO wants to reduce the world population by 90%, that is more reason to go out fighting.

OG, the majority here haven't the slightest idea of what you're talking about when you mention NWO. :secret:
