I'm still a cheesehead, though I am stuck here in Mass for a bit. When I get feeling a bit low, I go read the WI gun laws. Not much to read there, which makes me incredibly happy.
The people in this part of the country have been so knuckled under it is enough to make a person sick to their stomach. Many here in Mass are HOPING they get to keep their 10 round AR mags. They will feel that is a victory. They think that having to get a license to own a gun and having to register it are normal. They look at me like I just grew a third eye in my forehead when I tell them that most of the country is not that way.
Oh, a few other things, to get a license here, a person needs (3) reference letters, fingerprints, a full background check, an interview with the Police Chief. The PC may decide you are "not suitable". In some towns, no one is suitable. In others, everyone gets a "restricted" license, specifying exactly when they can carry their weapon. This suitableness has no rules, he may just not like the fact you are wearing a Packers baseball hat.
I am planning on coming back in a few years, I am counting on all you to not F it up.
My home state is red blooded Indiana where any law abiding citizen can obtain a carry permit, and if you have to kill an intruder in your home his family cannot file a civil suit against you even if you are cleared of a justified shooting. in NJ you can be sued by the criminal or his blood sucking family because you tried to defend yourself.
I have 3 years before I an eligable to retire fom the USAF and return to a Red Blooded state that honors my 2A rights. Cannot wait to leave the PRNJ

I believe you can be disciplined, without wearing a uniform. That said, I did retire after 22 years in the military. I'll grant, some of the best discipline is found in an armed military force... But military discipline isn't the only discipline that is necessary to be an armed populace. Some sound battle tactics I learned when I was hunting squirrels as a kid... like moving when the enemy is making noise... and stalking... and camouflage. Being disciplined can also mean knowing when to offensively attack and/or when to just patiently wait; it can also mean taking that last cautious breath and releasing about half of it just prior to squeezing the trigger.
I don't believe George was talking of joining up with the national army... I believe (could be mistaken) at that time it wasn't to be intact for more than two years.![]()

A free people ought not only to be armed but disciplined; to which end a uniform and well digested plan is requisite: And their safety and interest require that they should promote such manufactories, as tend to render them independent on others, for essential, particularly for military supplies.
Year: 1790
Context: First Annual Message to Congress
"A free people ought not only to be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government." - George Washington
". . .if anything, a mass civil disobedience in NY will just be a small window of things to come if Fienstein gets her way an entire Country...Hope they're planning on building a few more prisons, because theyre gonna need 'em."
We need the prisons for the treasonous politicians that think that they can circumvent the Constitution for their political and personal self-aggrandizing agendas!
. Now, the likes of the trash we have in Washington are shredding it and turning us into a totalitarian state and part of the NWO. But, that's OK, since the NWO wants to reduce the world population by 90%, that is more reason to go out fighting.
