Gun Control Texas Style!

Last Thursday night around midnight, a woman from Houston , Texas was ...arrested, jailed, and charged with manslaughter for shooting a man 6 times in the back as he was running away with her purse.

The following Monday morning, the woman was called in front of the Arraignment Judge, sworn-in, and asked to explain her actions.

The woman replied, "I was standing at the corner bus stop for about 15 minutes, waiting for the bus to take me home after work. I am a waitress at a local cafe. I was there alone, so I had my right hand on my pistol in my purse hanging on my left shoulder. All of a sudden I was spun around hard to my left. As I caught my balance, I saw a man running away with my purse. I looked down at my right hand and saw that my fingers were wrapped tightly around my pistol. The next thing I remember is saying out loud, "No Way Punk! You're not stealing my pay check and tips." I raised my right hand, pointed my pistol at the man running away from me with my purse, and started squeezing the trigger of my pistol.

When asked by the arraignment judge, "Why did you shoot the man 6 times? The woman replied under oath, "Because, when I pulled the trigger the 7th time, it only went click."

The woman was acquitted of all charges. She was back at work the next day! That's Gun Control, Texas Style

Hope there is no one who really believes this

It's true!
Texan's are a different (superior) breed of people.

Just a few months ago a Texas grandmother was pulled over for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign.
The trooper asked her for her drivers license and she also showed him her concealed handgun license.

The trooper asked her if she was armed at that moment....She replied; "Of course I am officer."
When he asked her where the location of her firearm was she asked ; "Which one officer??"

The befuddled trooper asked, "Ma'am, how many firearms are you currently carrying??"
She replied matter of factly; "Four.. a Glock 27 on my hip, a Smith & Wesson .38 snubby in my purse, a Colt .45 in my glove box and my Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun in the trunk."

The surprised trooper asked, "Ma'am, that's quite a bit of firepower that your packing... What are you so afraid of??"

The Texas grandma answered with a smile..."Absolutely Nuthin!"

I think the one about the Grandma is true, because we were shown a newspaper clipping about it when we took our Concealed Handgun License classes. The story was told by the State Trooper that stopped her.
But I doubt the one about the waitress is factual, because if I remember correctly, I read on Truth or Fiction where it was fiction...It could be another hoax buster site. I would like to believe it... just 'cause I'm a Texan... I sure would like to see some kind of documentation on the one about the waitress.

Anyone who actually believes this is naive. Wishful thinking maybe but it's not true. I've seen this story floating around the Internet for a couple years.

Now if only Texas would stop arresting people for their weapon printing or accidental exposure, or better yet, just allow Open Carry again...

At night in Texas there are a lot of actions that are legal. Like protecting your property with deadly force!
Texas, love it or leave it! It's the way we are, like it or not!

NOT TRUE as suspected.
