I recently downloaded an app for my iPhone. It's called legal heat. It is .99 and will answer your questions about all 50 states. Check it out.

i don't have an iphone or even a cell phone but if it's on line i'll check it out before i travel to other states. hopefully by then i will have some kind of cell phone......
but all that stuff just cost extra money and strains on my monthly budget which is already way overdrawn the last two months and will take some time to catch back up on

You should really consider a cell phone as another piece of vital gear whenever you are carrying. I don't leave the house with my gun unless my wallet and cell are with me. Being able to call in case of trouble could mean the difference between freedom/jail or even life/death. Get a cell before ur ccw arrives. Plus they make you look cool.

I thought I was one of the last hold outs on cell phones until a good friend of mine and gun owner challenged me with these thoughts. Would it not be better to have a second option of being able to call 911 while I was carrying? Would it also not be a good idea to be the first that reports your usage of your firearm if you needed to use it justifiably? Would it not be a good idea if you needed to use your firearm justifiably, to be able to call your loved ones, lawyer, etc after the event?

I have now been carrying a cell phone (a cheap throw away that I add minutes to... $100 for 6 months and 1500 minutes) for a couple of months now and don't leave home without it. I also don't give anyone my number either. It's there in case I need it.

Yea eagleeyes I 110% agree with rdm6680 and wolf fire. At least get a free one most carriers have free basic cell phones that you could at least call or text or as someone suggested a pay as you go phone. I don’t leave home without it. You can even use the camera to take pictures for evidence. One instructor told me to make sure you take pictures of whatever you could use in your defense. For example take pictures of whatever the BG used as a weapon. His reason was it may be farfetched but, you never know who is around that might take the BG’s gun and now you look like you shot an unarmed man. Obviously you never take your eyes off of it but in that moment you may take a few to get composed but, that is all the time you need for someone like a friend or accomplice to scoop up the BG’s weapon. As I said maybe or maybe not but do you want to take that chance with all that could be at stake. Prayerfully will never have to do all this but, get a phone.
