Gov't "shutdown" and base commissary/chow hall closures....

I just read the following FB posting from a friend whose son is an Airman First at Seymour Johnson AFB:

" Just found out ***** ****** not only has no commissary ( I can understand that) but now the Defax (Mess hall) is closed and they aren't feeding him either. He now has to go off base and fend for himself. " ​

So not only are they not being PAID, but on-base personnel also are not being FED, either. Our personnel now have to go off-base to shop at the more expensive civilian markets or restaurants to get their necessities or eat, but our Commander in Chief still demands that they remain on active duty.

Obama continues to devalue our military personnel and take his anger out on those who have sworn to defend this country.

We need to rid ourselves of about 90% of our military, since we dont do anything with them but waste money and anger people all over the world. We are being INVADED by 1 million illegals per year, most of whom do NOT leave the US, either. They kill and injure, by direct attack and by accident, more of us every year than are killed by the enemy in Afghanistan. That is a FACT. They cost us about a trillion $ per year in wasted social services, imprisonment, lost work, etc., just like the military and our worthless spy apparatus does.

No country is EVER going to invade a country that "only" has a half dozen backpack nukes. No country can withstand having even 3 of their major cities nuked. We don't need the surface navy, the Army, the ICBM'S. We need the spec ops and the nuke missile subs and the nat'l guard, and that's IT, for legitimate defense of the US. We BLOW a trillion $ a year "employing" approximately5 million people, directly in military and intelligence, and contractors working for same, who are being paid 10-20x what they are worth. Wouldn't you prefer to KEEP half of the 60% or so of your wages lost to taxes, ss, and increased costs of everything you buy (because it's taxed). people who make, sell and transport those things all pay taxes, you know, at all levels. so the products you buy cost 2-3x as much as they would without being so taxed. How about we do like every other country in the world and keep our noses OUT of other countries's biz?

yeah lets get rid of our military moron and see just how fast china and russia take over the rest of the world then isolate us. they dont need to invade us. they can economically isolate us till we collapse on our own.
