Government Preparing For Power Grid Shutdown
By: Thomas Dishaw
If you haven’t noticed there has been a lot of talk regarding the power grid lately. Highly ranked Government officials continue to go on record warning us that we are in imminent danger of a looming strike on the grid.

Major agencies have issued warnings to the general public advising us to stock up on necessities and reminding us that our basic way of life will be drastically affected when a strike like this occurs. Hurricane Sandy was a great example of this when gas tanks were unable to pump gas, light switches refused to turn on the lights and home heating systems failed to keep families warm.

Since the Government likes to “keep us safe “, they are coincidentally preparing a massive drill emulating an attack on the power grid.

Off The Grid News reports the drill will take place November 13-14:

An electrical grid joint drill simulation is being planned in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Thousands of utility workers, FBI agents, anti-terrorism experts, governmental agencies, and more than 150 private businesses are involved in the November power grid drill.

The downed power grid simulation will reportedly focus on both physical and cyber attack’s. The antiquated electrical system in the United States has been one of the most neglected pieces of integral infrastructure.

The disaster drill is being described as a crisis practice unlike anything the real power grid has ever experienced. The GridEX II drill Nov. 13-14 will focus primarily on how governments will react if the electrical grid fails and, for instance, the food supply chain collapses.
Power Companies Hate This “Weird” Trick That Not Only Beats The Electricity Monopoly For Good, But Also To Make Sure You Always Have Free Energy No Matter How Long The Power Grid Stays Down For

American utility companies are responsible for running approximately 5,800 power plants and about 450,000 high-voltage transmission lines, controlled by various devices which have been put into place over the past decades. Some of the utility companies which oversee the power grid reportedly use “antique computer protocols” which are “probably” safe from cyber hackers,” The New York Times reported.

The Times said experts call the power grid the nation’s “glass jaw.” Even the military gets 99 percent of its power the same way everyday citizens get it – from commercially run companies.

“If an adversary lands a knockout blow, [experts] fear, it could black out vast areas of the continent for weeks; interrupt supplies of water, gasoline, diesel fuel and fresh food; shut down communications; and create disruptions of a scale that was only hinted at by Hurricane Sandy and the attacks of Sept. 11,” The Times said.
.
I don’t know about you but a Government drill or exercise always makes me wonder about the ability to pull off a false flag attack, similar to the way 9/11 was orchestrated. A Government attack like this is definitely not out of the question and I wouldn’t put it past them. My only advice would be to prepare by stocking up on basic necessities that will enable your survival in this desperate time.

If you remember there was a post I put on this site that talked about a FEMA crack down in FEMA area 3 coming in Oct, could this FEMA stuff be connected with this electric grid test?

no gov't DARES mess with us, we'd nuke them for SURE. But a small, roque group, yeah, it could happen. They'd get billion $ rewards put on their heads, after torture gave us their names, and they'd get killed, sure as the sun rises, but some of them don't care.

I wish I believed that.
I think there are countries out there just waiting to strike The United States of America.
If you think Iran would be acting alone your kidding yourself. An EMP strike would simply be the first stage of engagement.
Imagine no communication and after day 4 or 5 when all hell is starting to brake loose within the country we experience an invasion by Sea and Air.
Radar systems no longer detect incoming aircraft. Their aircraft are guided by ship based radar.
The little infrastructure we do have working is taxed to the max and soon overwhelmed.
The fight that our military and civilian militia take to the enemy would be impressive.

Then be more concerned about Yellostone!

Even with articles like this...Link Removed... do your research, Yellowstone erupting is imminent and would be far more destructive & devastating than any man made EMP. So yes, contrary to any such ignorance, I'll remain more concerned about Yellowstone!

Already commented on the Yellstone Super Volcano in that thread. Go Check it out! I've been watching it for years.

I have been reading about the Yellowstone caldera of late and it is definitely active. The crust is supposedly rising as much as three inches per year and one section has scientists worried that it could explode at any time. The force generated by the blast is supposed to make Mt. St. Helens look like a firecracker in comparison. The blast is expected to force ash and debris up to 25 miles high and deposit a layer of ash ten feet deep on the ground within a one thousand mile radius. Personally, I would rather have the EMP because survival would be much easier. We would have one hell of an adjustment to make in our living and revert back to life like the 1800s. Can you imagine what life would be like with no electricity, TV, telephones and, especially, grocery stores? I can remember times similar to that and they were hard but more pleasant than one might think.
I haven't read the book referenced by nosreme but there was a TV program several years ago written along those same lines. The plot wasn't nearly as severe as real life would be but it got the point across that life would not be a bowl of gravy. For those worried about EMPs, it is possible to make a Faraday cage in which you can store batteries and other electronics for protection. Some of the preppers on TV are making them but, at my age,, hardly worth the bother. I worry more about Obama than EMPs.

I worry more about Obama than EMPs.

Knowing that God sets up rulers and God takes them down is comforting, especially when my thoughts turn to Obama. Because God who knows the future controls the future, I know that Obama is nothing more than a pawn in God's plan of justice concerning America in This Last Generation. The Lord said "Worry About Nothing & Fear Not"...works for me.
