So what, the democrats are going Yea and Republicans are hiding their heads. They know they haven't got what it takes to stand up to Napolitano and her Handlers. They may write a letter but she'll ignore them as before and it will all die out until the war starts.

Confirming what I've said before.
I'm through with the US Government. No one associated with the Government in public relations, or any other political form, can be trusted to even think, let alone read and comprehend an intelligently written letter. Actually they can't be trusted. Period.
Molon Labe!

Agree the only ones in the GOP who have the balls to take on Big Sis and the lib-o-rats are the women!!!!! What a bunch of wusses!!!!!!

Good article. Only part I take issue with is the fact that they cite "military veterans" as saying they have never trained with hollow point ammo as support evidence to their claim. Well, they wouldn't have because hollow points are banned under the Geneva conventions...they wouldn't train with or use them period. However a "civilian defense force" wouldn't fall under the Geneva conventions and so could use whatever they want. Clearly, they're not using them for training though.

The part I find the most sad is that the people have gotten so complacent and uninvolved with the government that it's nothing for them to be able to pull something like this off.

I really do think it's going to take a government takeover (or at least attempted takeover) to make the Left and the uninformed Right to realize the true motives behind gun control.

The government's obligation to abide by the Constitution has always been based on the honor system pretty much. And now, between the lack of public involvement and political standards being lowered tremendously, they've decided that they can pick and choose which part of that system they want to honor.

It use to be that serving a political office was viewed and treated as service to the country. Now it's treated more like a get-rich-quick scheme.

I try to watch news on Syria's rebels in their prosecution of the Syrian Civil War any chance I get - I consider them training films.
Lock and Load Boys, Lock and Load.

Government stooges lie out of both sides of their mouths, they lie even when there is no need simply to keep in practice.
That's a good one. I must keep this for future references. "Lie simply to keep in practice. Yeah, that's GOOD>:agree:

The giveaway for me was when they admitted to buying " hollow point " ammunition and then used the excuse it was for training purposes only. We all know that hollow point ammo is higher priced than the usual lead bullet ammo that is used for range practice time. We also know that hollow point ammo is not allowed on the battlefield as written in the Geneva Hague Convention which our government signed onto. As more and more of th e truth comes to light it is making the official mouthpieces for the government look less than honest. I also noted that when speaking about the full auto rifles they they purchased they referred to them as Personal Defense Weapons yet for US civilians the semi auto version is called an assault weapon. Then the news of the purchase of the Armored vehicles broke so more and more is coming to light. We will eventually get the whole truth but it will be a while before we do.

I can speak from personal experience that many federal law enforcement agencies do in fact conduct all training and qualifying using only hollow point ammunition. Same, or very close to the same as their duty rounds.

Still, have you seen the projections regarding how long that ammo would last if DHS was expending it at the same rate the military is in the war overseas?

In my dream world they'd be sending all that ammo and the armored personnel carriers down south to secure our borders.
Where there's a legitimate use for it.

A note here, the military can't legally use JHP in combat yes... but did you guys know that CONUS and OCONUS bases, SF/SP and other armed service members carry JHP? They do, b/c these duties are considered LE, not combat operations. This changes the way you can look at these ammunition purchases... they are used by the military, if they're planning on shooting people on base. However, at CATM... it was/is always FMJ loads.

This is an excerpt from a B/S letter which I received from Representative William (Mac) Thornberry, 13th District, Texas:
Begin excerpt:
Dear Mr.__________,
Thank you for contacting me about Department of Homeland Security (DHS) purchases of ammunition, armored vehicles, and weapons. I appreciated hearing from you.
As you are aware, there have been numerous internet postings describing how various agencies in the federal government are purchasing large quantities of ammunition. The rumors and allegations surrounding these stories are largely exaggerated and untrue.
blah, blah, blah....
In 2012, DHS sought to save taxpayer dollars through a consolidated five-year contract to purchase up to 450 million rounds of ammunition for all of its components (65000 law enforcement personnel in multiple agencies). This amount is roughly consistent with the total amount bought over the last five years. blah, blah, blah..
End of excerpt.

That's slightly less than 7000 rounds per man... and equals just shy of 1400 rounds per year. Believe that?
He's a RINO... and just as worthless as the rest of his ilk. (That is MVHO)
