good holsters(concealed, open, and vehicle mounted, etc)

Hey everyone!
I wanted input on what other people considered good holsters for all types of carry...
My vehicle is a truck so I wanted others opinions on what mountable holsters they have in their truck?
In general, what holsters work good in the summer months (as far as being hot and sweating, what is comfy and has good sweat shields)?
As a busy mom I would really be interested in what other moms have found worked good for them as far as concealed carry?
Any thoughts and ideas about any of these would be appreciated...

Honestly Junebug... I have a box full of holsters that I've purchased over the years in pursuit of the "best" holster. The method of carry I choose for one gun may not be the best choice for another gun. Holsters and methods of carry are very subjective and personal. I wish these was a definitive (or at least better) answer but no one knows you better than you.

Holsters like underwear are a very personal choice. Unfortunately it's pretty much trial and error to find what works best for you.

I agree with nofrets1 and sgb, everyone has different needs so it is a personal opinion as to what a good holster is. But I do highly recommend Remora no-clip holsters. I carry a full sized 1911 everyday, very comfortably in one. I have also never heard a bad thing about them from anyone who as used them. Definitely something to look into if your looking for a good IWB holster.

My 5" XD40 fits very comfortably in a holster I got from concealmentsolution.com. They're made by a guy here in Utah and was recommended by my CCW instructor. Have a friend who carries his 5" XDM45 in one too. We both absolutely love them, but I can't say they are the best because I haven't tried many since this one worked out so well.

When it comes to the female perspective of conceal carry the videos produced on this site are currently the best online. My wife found them useful, with a very good section on holsters.

my choices would be
for iwb ..a crossbreed supertuck
for vehicle ..a console safe if i must leave the gun in the vehicle otherwise it will be on my person
for open carry most likely a level two or three style holster

carry safely tactically and wisely
best to all

Might want to check out "Cornered Cat." Link Removed All sorts of good advice for female CC. I don't conceal often, usually just when I'm wearing a coat, but I've just purchased a holster "fanny pack" for summer CC. I'll probably use it more for demo in my gun classes, but I will try it out at least when my new compact 9mm is delivered. The revolver doesn't QUITE fit and everything else is much too large. Big disadvantage with that sort of carry is that it's pretty obvious to anyone who has ever seen one or is really paying attention. Not a big deal here, but it might be an issue in a lot of places. Thanks for all the responses..its has given me some good starting ground. My honey got me a desantis for my lady sig P238.
I know any choice needs to work for me personally but reading what works for others can help with the trial and error of it all.
I drive an F150 that does not have a center console and I would like to get a mounted holster for it...perhaps something that has a fixed mounting but that I can interchange so that if he is driving and he wants to put his gun there or if I am carrying one of my other guns that we can buy holsters for the other guns that will work with the mount as well.
Any thoughts are appreciated on the mounted holsters as well as more ideas for the concealed carry... Thanks and have a good one!
