Good compact handgun for lefties

l would like to get a compact 9 to carry that is good for lefties. Any advise?

ruger sr9c. it has ambidextrous safety and mag release. being a lefty myself this was one of the many reasons i got the sr9c
 
I like the Glock. With no external safety, except the trigger safety, they should be fairly friendly to the wrong handed. :)
As mentioned above the SR9c is a sweet gun.
 
I carry M&P 9c; no external safety. The mag release can be switched to LH in a couple of minutes, if you so desire.

The Gen 4 Glocks have a reversible mag release but I don't think the slide release is reversible. That said, the 9mm Gen 4s have had a few issues. I think it is overblown on Glocktalk but there have been a few things.

I really like my Kahr PM9 but the mag release does not appear to be reversible.
 
M&P's are a great choice, But as a lefty I can tell you not to dig further than an ambi mag realease, leftie slides are HUGE $$$
 
Springfield XD or XDm-----ambidexterous mag release, grip and trigger safety. Great accuracy as well. i'm considering getting an XD sub-compact just to be a bit easier to conceal than my XDm
 
I am getting the XD 9mm sub-compact Essential at the end of May. I can hardly wait. I will probably get the Uncle Mikes inside the pants holster. What kind of holster do you use or think you will use with yours ?
 
I'm using a Crossbreeds holster for my XDm----because of the quality and comfort of it, I'll probably just get another of the same to fit. I also use an Uncle Mike's for OC when in the woods or fishing. The Crossbreeds holster just really feels comfortable even when carrying a large handgun.
 
Recently picked up the PX4 Compact, great for those of us using our right brain, ambidex safety,slide release and revesible magizine release. Still reviewing ccw holsters.

I carry this gun daily in the 4 inch version, great accuracy and balance. My only complaint is ghe right handed slide release. With the back safety ...which i like, I cannot release the slide with my index so it requiers some extra mechanical work to get comfortable with quick mag exchanges.
 
Any of the earlier Bersa compacts come with FULL ambi controls. Even the mag release can be switched for a lefty.

I can't say for sure about the later 'Pro' models, but my T45UC model sure is a full ambi controlled pistol.

I'm a righty, but sure like the fact that I can fully operate the pistol with either hand if ever necessary.

Ok..all you Bersa hatin' gun-snobs...Ready-Set,...GO!!!
