Glock vs M&P

if you've made up mind "do not like Glock" or magazines, then don't buy one - glock is one you either "love or hate". remember, glocks never ever fail to fire. some others "uh-oh, they misfire"... buy whatever you want, no need to downgrade glock magazines. I've got three in my collection and love them. Also have 1911's - good stuff, real guns.

Well, not to be contrary, but Glock actually did have a big issue with the springs in a bunch of the gen4 models. Glock did recall them and service them, though. That is, however the only problem on a larger scale of which I'm aware.

I had two double-feeds in one afternoon with a Glock 26. So yes, they mess up sometimes too. Used an M&P the next day with the same ammunition, and had no issues at all.

To all who say Glocks never fail:

I slap my forehead and utter the word "DOH".

I'm a Glock Armorer. Now why would their ever be need for a Glock Armorer. Let me think, let me think... oh yeah, to replace worn out parts when the gun doesn't function properly!!! Geesh. I really wish Glock had never used the word "perfection" in their logo. It has turned a faction of the gun world into completely loyal followers. Does the Glock work in absolutely horrendous conditions? Yes. Does it fire underwater? Yes. Are there loose tolerances between the upper and the lower so dirt, mud, etc. can find its way out and still let the firearm operate? Yes. Do they have mechanical failures from time to time? Yes. Do springs wear out and even break if not inspected? Yes. Is there another semi that is made of only 36 parts that is this reliable? No.

Pushing down that lever just means you dont have to pull the trigger to get the slide to come off, you dont HAVE to push down that leaver. Just sayin. I dont use it, and mine comes apart just fine.

All guns have serviceable parts. revolvers, too. they all have springs that will need to be replaced every so many thousand rounds, etc. Keep that in mind, especially as your guns age.

You are 110% correct sir. I love my Glock 22 Gen 4 and I love my XD45 4" they are both great firearms and I have had zero issues with either of them (knock on wood) deer hunting starts in less than a week here and I'm gonna "TRY" using nothing but my handguns the first few days of season. I'll still have the trusty 16 gauge with me but want to get 1 with a pistol gains more bragging rights in our group haha.

I like Glock and M&P. I'm not sure about the full size guns because I have only had a Glock in full size, but I definitely like the M&P Shield 40 over the Glock 27 as far as a concealable sub compact. I ended up selling my Gen 4 G27 because the Shield took its place in my collection.
