Glock, Sig Sauer, and Bushmaster

Can someone please enlighten me as to why the media feels the need to name the make of a firearm when some piece of demented scum kills innocent people? Why didn't we hear about the make or model of the car driven by the Dallas Cowboys player last week when he killed his teamate due to drunk driving and speeding?

P.S. - this is a rhetorical question. Don't feel like you have to answer it.

I know, just a way to vent. Me too. The awful plastic gun, Glock, had cop kill-n bullets too.

Some idiot commentator on FOX stated that "hollow point bullets are designed to "flower" upon penetration".

Fair enough. BUT then he said "Us in law enforcement hate these hollow points because the can penetrate bullet-proof vests".

I'd like to penetrate that idiot's behind with my foot.

That idiot only reads what some other idiot writes, who most likely has NEVER fired a gun in his life. But it fits the story they want to promote.
Now do not think I am calm about this. I am so angry and upset about all the hype I do not know how to say it.
On another thread someone proposed that everyone join as many gun rights orgs that we can. So we can beat this back. They seem to think that if they get our guns the problem will be solved but fail to see that the bad guys will still have their guns. And they are the smartest and best in the room.

The fact that the bushmaster was left in the car will not make it to the general main stream media. Adam Lanza shot up the school with 2 handguns. That he stole from his dead mother. The reason the media needs to name them is to help the liberals further their oppressive gun control agenda. No amount of new legislation can possibly make what this lunatic did any more illegal than it already was. We need to deal with the real source of the problem, that is identifying and treating mental illness in this country, not Molly Coddling it and letting it foster under the guise of individualism.

He must not have been driving a SUV. Had he been driving one we would have known make, model and year. SUV's are on the government vehicle hate list.

It's all about the guns and not about this disturbed young man that was looked over and past on hoping someone else would do something with or about him! Not one news station has had a gun professional telling about how a trained armed school official could have saved lives! All they want is the anti gun nuts to talk and spew their venom! I am like everyone here, I am so upset about what happened to these innocent children and staff plus the media using it to further their anti gun protests. I'm sorry if this isn't the right place but like you I need to vent and tell someone how I feel! I don't have kids but it's just so wrong in so many ways! This has been so strange and surreal to me because my cousins husband had a gun accident the evening before the shooting. He had an old 12 ga. shot gun and was getting ready to clean it. Some how he had it by the barrel and when it touched the floor it went off. It went through his hand and into his arm and shoulder. If he hadn't tied a belt around his shoulder he would have bled out. He only has 5 bones left in his hand and a lot of the tissue and muscle in his arm were removed. I almost forgot, he is left handed! He has had one surgery and is scheduled for another on Monday. So when you pray for these Connecticut families please say one for him and his family!

Thank you for the prayers and the vent session!

Jody

I don't know. When I hear anything like this I can't help but think it is negligence instead of an accident. If the rules were followed (always treat every gun as it is loaded) and we don't double and triple check then shame on us. Hope he heals up well.
