Glock people

Well obviously I have to weigh in on this. I have Glocks exclusively. I have bought and sold about 15 of them this year because that's what I do for a hobby and occasionaly make $20 off one. And I carry the G23.
I realize choosing a firearm is a personal choice and would never say mine is better than yours.
It's not about Glocks, it's about jerks, and I'm sorry this jerk even owns a Glock, and maybe shouldn't own any firearms considering the idiot-level this jerk has attained.
And while I own and carry nothing but Glocks - I secretly look at 1911s occasionally.

I bought a 9mm Hi Point on a whim just because it had a laser sight with it. It takes two grown men and a small boy to carry it because of it's weight but that is no problem. The problem is my daughter was so taken with it because of the laser that she conned me out of it. Not a small lady-like gun you would think a woman would want but she just loves it and can shoot very well with it. A gun is like a beautiful woman, all in the eyes of the beholder. My thought is, if you are satisfied with your gun, Glock or not, I am tickled pink. Everybody else can just suck it up!

Bingo. We are shooter's first. We should all support one another no matter our chosen brand or type of firearm. Thank you for being a non gun snob.

Merry Christmas!

First mistake replying to a moron. Next time don't reply just ignore and they will go away because you will not give them the attention they so badly crave.

I like Glocks but trying to force what you like on others is stupid for if they liked Glocks they would have one instead the have what they liked enough to buy.

I don't care what anyone else says, I have a G19, and it is still the most shootable pistol I have. I feel a little creepy carrying with one in the chamber, but the gun shoots and I shoot it well. There is nothing wrong with Glock people or 1911 people or whatever...we are all on the same team.

Funny isn't it? In these days of everybody owning a camera phone, there aren't any pictures to support your fairy tale. There never are. Surprise! There are also no documented instances of this ever happening to a Hi-Point.

To the OP. As a loyal Glock owner I'm sorry that you ran into the official Glock owners asshole of the year. We're not all like him. And as a loyal Hi-Point owner, you've just been exposed to the opposite side of the coin... Dimwits who just know that Hi-Points are bad because they're cheap, even though they don't have any actual experience with them.

Happy shooting.

So you are sying this could not possably happen under any circumstances? well it did happen, as this was a new weapon it obviously had a defect of some sort, who knows maybe some part in the gun was not heat treated correctly, I never said a hi point was bad because it was cheap, although, there almost is something to,...you get what you pay for... on the other hand I have also seen a Glock blow up, or the results of it, and hurt the shooter, turned out it was handloaded ammo, or should I say hand overloaded ammo, it over pressured the case and fired down the mag well and burnt the shit out of his hand, his dealer shipped Glock the remains, they sent him a new pistol, even though it was plain, to see it was a ammo defect, and last summer there was a guy with a $3000 Wilson and it jammed to the point it had to be dismantled to clear it, I will never say a gun is junk cause its cheap, I have a $ 100 Mosin Nagant rifle that will shoot as well as ANYTHING on the wall at the gun store, out to 100 to 200 yds anyhow, a whole lot better group than my AR even if it was clamped in a vise, ths guys gun broke and could have hurt him, there is no excuse for a new weapon to do that, no matter if it cost $150 or $3000 dollars

And just for the record, no I do not own a Hi Point but I did bring one home it belonged to the gun shop I help out at, cleaned it took it, to the range put maybe 3 mags of ammo threw it, about 12 yds out, my G-21 groups better but I am more used to my Glock, had no trouble with it other than wife would not shoot it, said it was to heavy, the thing did seem like it was twice as heavy as the Glock, ...............Sorry to the other members for gatting a little off subject, but Mr HOBO decided to take issue with my post, and I addressed it ........I hope.........

In many cases....it is the "gun owner" that has a defect, but yet many are quick to blame the gun or manufacturer.

And I carry the G23.

Although I'm partial to HKs, my buddy owns a G23 and I can shoot the lights out with it. Don't know why but the combination of that frame and cartridge just go very well with my shooting technique/skills/ability/whatever. I'll be adding a 23 to my collection soon.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. Happy Holidays to all others

Yeah, the line of Glocks are impressive - the more I learn about Glocks, the more I like them. Technologically beyond most firearms is probably why.
Have a good New Year all year long.

I find that Glock owners tend to be "very proud" of their brand of gun!

I think Glocks are a top line, along with some other brands. I do NOT own one(yet). Mainly because i SHOOT A lot OF LEAD RELOADS. I can not shoot otherwise, and I understand Glocks don't do well with lead. So be it, maybe down the road.

Sorry dude but you sound like a whiny 20-something who does not how to deal with people. I would done nothing but walk away but you played his game and he embarrassed you. Learn from it.

What I choose to shoot is like my (non-glock) underwear....it is my personal preference (or what my budget affords). If that gun drops the perp then it won't matter whose name is on the slide.

Years ago, I studied guitar under a guy that played a beat-up P.O.S. jap copy of a strat. He carried it around in the backseat of his car without a case. But when he played it.....holy crap....made all of us posers with fancy new stuff look like the fools we were.

Shoot what you want and ignore the world's idiots.

Oh and I shoot a G19. My one and only gun. And yes it is a good gun. But there are a lot of good guns about there. Along with more than a few Gun Nuts.
