Glock Grip Plug for a Gen4 Model 21

Anyone know, for sure, where I can get a Glock Grip Plug for a Gen4 Model 21??? I bought 2 Pearce Grip Plugs through Amazon.com advertised... "Fits Gen 4 (only) models 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 31, 32, 34, 35, 37, and 38". Fit my Gen4 Model 19, but did NOT fit my Gen4 Model 21. I contacted Pearce and they said they knew of no on that did! What the hell??? I scoured the internet and found none that I felt confident enough to order. Why would they make them for every other model Glock and not the 21G4????????????????????????????

Question is, why do they make them at all.

That open area by the mag well was purposely designed by Glock in case the magazine gets stuck, you can put your thumb in there and rip the magazine out. The plug serves no purpose but to give a "clean" look.

Soooooooooo, you don't know where to get one? I know the purported rationale for the hole, but I like the clean look. When was the last time u had a magazine stick?

It is not a "purported rationale". I am a Glock Armorer and I have had one stick before... fortunately it was in training. That weekend we had put about 1200 rounds through. It was real nice to be able to yank that mag out and put another one in real quick. Point is they do stick (not often). Glock designed the weapon to be able to put your thumb in there in case it does stick. Filling that up negates that intended purpose of how Glock designed it. It is not "purported", it is what Glock did with reason behind the design.

Seriously, you didn't try glockmeister?

Glockmeister Grip Plug for Gen 4 GLOCK 20 and 21-www.glockmeister.com

There ya go, did your research for you, just don't use a back strap with it. This research took me all of about 30 seconds. Typed in "grip plug G21" in Google and found it.

Didn't mean to get u all testy. However, I appreciate the search results. Regardless of Glock's intent... I still prefer the "clean" look.

Not testy. Just get dumbfounded when I give good information based on training and research and then be told it is a purported myth.

I'm glad you appreciate the info. Good luck to you.

Gen 4 plugs I have seen are held in place with a big ugly screw that sticks into your hand.

Let us know if you like it. I don't care for the look or the feel.

I have also been told by those in the know that it was designed to allow the attachment of a stock. I have bought plugs that I was told would fit and didn't. I have been and will continue to be skeptical of any and all info I glean from the internet. So I ask in forums like this one for "proven" info from those have already attempted and found a solution. Don't misconstrue my skepticism for lack of appreciation for your information. One has no idea who is providing the info however by reading a name or seeing an avatar. The plug offered at Glockmeister.com would not allow the use of the other backstraps should I decide to use them and are attached by a screw and as noted in the post above... this too can present problems. Again wolf_fire... thanks for your post. I appreciate it.

No probs... and I must assume some responsibility in your reaction. I thought I had said I was a Glock Armorer in my initial post which I did not. Without that info, of course you thought it was just someone spouting off against the plug without any credible knowledge.

Thanks for being a stand up guy.
