Had the shield but went back to the G26 now looking at either another shield or G43. Now question if u get one of these should I still keep the G26? Or just add to my guns but then have the delema on which one to carry.

The G26 has a higher capacity (10+1) than the other two and takes 12, 15 ,17 and 33 round 9mm Glock magazines. That's why I am currently staying with the G26 as my jogging gun with a 17-round spare magazine. I am normally carrying a G19 with two 17-round spare magazines.

I have been considering the Shield or the G43 (or potentially the G42) for appendix and pocket carry, and potentially for lower-profile 4-o'clock carry. However, I haven't made up my mind yet. In this case, I would still likely keep the G26 for the same purpose I am using it now.

I guess for you the real question is, what is your motivation behind switching from the G26 to a single-stack?

Had the ruger LCP for my bag carry or for when I need to carry according to dress. To me the 43 is almost same size as the 26 the shield same. But I like slim for when I go to work I have no problem with my 26 I carry it all the time hardly carry my 19 which I believe I should carry more. Something a little easier to pickup and go fast with me when I go on test drives with people I don't know.

I would keep your G26, they have their purpose, I have a Shield 9mm and a G27 they both have their purpose. The Shield along with an extra mag of 8 rounds I carry at church and or just a go-to gun, like a quick run to the store. The G27 along with a G23 mag is for when I'm going out a places that are shady and it's a little more powerful so they both have their purpose.

Gotcha thank you for your input

Any high capacity gun is good if you plan on missing a lot. I really like my Glock 43 single stack 9mm, it's ultra-concealable, accurate and fantastic for all shooters regardless of hand size. The grip has a built in beaver tail design which allows the shooter to acquire a high and tight grip. The recoil is light, a real sweet shooter. I carry it in my back pocket 95% of the time.

Absolutely keep the G26 as a winter option. I prefered the G43 over the Shield. Best of luck, tough call--but the G26 should stay...you'll reach for it again.
