Anyone have one of these? Know much about them? A friend of mine gave his to me as collateral for a loan. (he knows nothing about it and never shot it and doesn't even have it registered) There is some kind of port on the top of the barrel close to the front, never seen that on a pistol before.

Thanks

It's 'not even registered' you say??
Sounds to me like you may be in possesion of an ILLEGAL handgun!
A handgun that may be 'stolen' or may even be a murder weapon!
Why would you want to even risk do something stupid like that?
Are you a criminal?
If not, do you want to risk becoming a criminal?
Not a very smart move i.m.h.o. :stop:

The c in the model number refers to it being a compensated weapon. The ports at the top allow gas to exit upwards and works to lesson the recoil for quicker follow up shots. Drawbacks? Muzzleflash can be a problem and they require cleaning a bit more frequently.

_Outlaw = annoying response almost always. Usually first too. Xbox must be down.

None of my guns are registered. Not required in S.C.

Please correct me if I'm wrong...
But I thought that whenever someone legally purchases any firearm, the serial number of that particular firearm is 'registered' as belonging to that individual.
Am I missing something here?

They are NOT registered with anyone. It is on the FFL dealer paper work that he has to retain for a certain time but the gun is not registered with anyone.

I think there are states that carry permits must have the gun you are required to carry on them. So Outlaw is not totally incorrect. He may be in one of those states. Most states as Chris states above, like in SC, have no gun registration per say.

From what I understand, in order to buy a pistol in NC, you have to have a permit from the Sheriff to buy that gun. If you want another, another permit from the Sheriff. So, if you live in NC, you might check the laws or you may be in violation.

There are a lot of dumbass answers on this forum but Outlaw's is not one of them necessarily.

Ma Vaffanculo 'rdm6680'.
And it's not an Xbox, it's a PS3, get your game consoles straight!

:offtopic: PS3 FTW!! Xbox is like the government lol Charging you for this and that, having to purchase this and that just play.

Back on topic, I would be very leery about possessing a firearm you don't know the history of.

Not every area has gun regulations. Even though Dayton, Oh has a register law, I live in Ohio, but not within the city limits of Dayton. Ergo my gun is not registered.

Christ, I wasnt looking for a lecture here...I was looking for info on the weapon itself. I am a CCW in NC and am FULLY aware of the laws and the consequences of having an unregistered firearm, but I appreciate the comments Mr.President. I fully intend on finding the history of it as well. "North Carolina law that states that handgun registration is not necessary"...guess I should have stated where I was located.

No gun registration in Ne, unless you live in Omaha which I don't, none of my weapons are "registered". No registration tied to my CCW either.
