Which do you guys prefer and why?

It depends on how your going to carry. I have both and I carry each one differently. I have a smaller build and the 23 works great for me but when I wear just a tshirt, the 23 prints because of my size. The 27 is very easy to conceal. Both are great choices. I suggest you hold both of them because the 27 doesn't have the "pinky extension" so it may be difficult for you to grip depending on your size. You can add the pinky extension, but if your going to do that, why not just get the 23 and have more firepower.

I have a 23 and love it, however the grip sticks out a little to muc when i carry iwb. It tends to hit chairs when i sit like on folding chairs. However for a range gun i love it, i think i may get the 27 or 26 soon to carry more comfortably.

I have the G27 and love it. It has the mag extension to add 1 extra cartride and added room for finger. I carry it IWB and never a problem. Also have the wolf 9mm barrel and magazines to swap out when at the range.
Also carry a full size 1911. It comes down to wha tstyle of dress for the day.

Both good weapons

I prefer the Glock 23 for work and the glock 27 for conceled it is easier to carry in every case you deal with .

Fix up for me

I have bought the 27 for my son for his ankle carry as a back up for the 22. My daughter and daughter in-law the 27. I have the Glock 22 Gen-3 which has a much better grip for any wet or grease hands. The Gen-4 Model 22's have a much better spring, they came out with this for the 25th anniversary. So, I would certainly go with a Gen 3 or 4 in a Model 22 and the 27 for very deep carry. The 23 mag will not fit the 22 but it will fit the 27. Just saying. The Glock is just a wonderful 15+1 in .40 S&W, I really have a personal problem with a 1911 or my Glocks. The .45 acp is a great piece and it is hard for me to give up my first love.

Glock 23

I just got my Gen4 Glock 23. Definitely feel how the 27 sits in your hand before you worry about how it carries! If its not comfortable in your hand and you don't have the control, it doesn't matter how it conceals. I love how the 23 carries as well. And the Gen4 has adjustable back straps.

For me, I prefer the Gen 4 27. The grip does not bothere me. Some people say the recoil is a little brisk, but i can't tell the diffrence between the 23 or 27 in that regard. The 27 Conceals perfect with the 9 round mag and sometimes i carry a spare Glock 22 mag for more fire power. The 27 is just as accurate as the full size .40's. For me, the 27 is the best balance when it comes to Glock .40's; a true everyday, every situation pistol. The 23 is awesome too, my bro owns the 23 and I almost went with the 23 instead but liked the 27 more.

But as others have said, you will have to hold it and shoot it before you buy it.

G23. All day, everyday. Any occasion. I dress specifically for carry. I can care less if it calls for a tie or not.

I carry the 23, my wife carries the 27 with its standard mag in a Remora when she conceals. But when she's at home or at the range I got her a 22 mag and a sleeve from glockstore dot com to transform it into a full grip gun. In fact when I open carry I also use a 22 mag with a grip sleeve. Some don't like the sleeves but they work fine for us.

glock

I was carrying 26 same size as 27 with no problems now got 29 not much different in size
