Glock 19 with Extended & Ported Barrel

I just swapped the 4-inch stock barrel out on my Glock 19 to a Lone Wolf Distributors ported barrel, which is 4.9 inches long and has 2 external ports. It does slightly reduce muzzle rise and fixes the issue of deposits on the TLR-1s. The barrel already came polished, but I did some more polishing with a Dremel. I shot 200 rounds through it without any problem.

Is this your personal protection weapon? Does the porting cause more muzzle flash?

I primarily use the Glock 19 with the extended/ported barrel and the TLR-2s for home defense. I do carry it sometimes as well, but then with the stock barrel and without the light. I recently acquired a Glock 26 and will be switching to it as my primary carry gun. Then I will leave the extended/ported barrel and the TLR-2s permanently on the Glock 19.

The porting moves more muzzle flash into the line of sight. This, however, is only a problem in low light with target ammo. Good self defense ammo has low flash powder, so you won't get blinded by it.
