Hey guys, I am doing a debate class and because of the location I live in 'Guns' was a topic. And we got to "Banning all guns" or "Restricting use of guns" And another person voiced his opinion and said that most people would probably retaliate. (And I totally agree, i'm not giving up MY guns) So I want to make a poll; Who would, and who wouldn't give up their guns.

Good luck with the poll.

It seems to me that most if not all gun owners are very patriotic and would never give up (permanently) or surrender (temporarily) their guns.

Feinstein and the Clintons (both of them) seem to be bent on permanent banning of assault carbines (named as such by Adolf H. in 1942) meaning semi auto anti-personnel long guns.

And the most recent issue of surrender came up in New Orleans after Katrina by Mayor Ray Nagin and Chief Ed Compass.

Nagin is presently in Federal prison in Texarkana, TX where he belongs.

What debate class would that be? Troll.

No I would not give up my guns. A poll here would be rather limited though. I would suggest researching actual data that is available. For instance there have been many places in the country that have introduced some type of gun registration (usually followed by a ban and confiscation the following year but I digress). Look at details in the New York Safe act as one example. It shows that a very small percentage of people actually registered there guns when it became law and it is thought that by the numbers that registered it would equal out to what would wind up being only government type employees such as police officers etc
