The G.I.V.E. bill passed the House last week. The GIVE Bill requires every student to participate in mandatory voluteering from middleschool through college. The list below is the prohibited activites while in the program (as it is worded, it would include nights, weekends, etc)

I thought everyone should know what is in this bill. I felt it was my duty to let everyone know what is in this bill. Pay special attention to sections 7 and 10.

Thank God I'm alive!
While doing community service is always a good thing, I don't believe that students who make good grades and do well on their standardized tests should be denied their diplomas for NOT doing it. People should do it because it's what is in their hearts and because they want to, not because they have to.

any member of congress that supports this bill needs to be fired. It's still hard to believe that Americans have become so stupid that they turned our country over to these communists.

The problem I am trying to highlight is while in the program, nights, weekends, etc included, they prohibit you from writing your elected leaders, signing petitions, actively participating in any religious activities, or anything else they feel like.

‘(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities

10. Such other activities as the Corporation may prohibit.

‘(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

Dear Leader is pushing a little too much. If this gets signed into law I can see everybody and their brother filing lawsuits. Totally unconstitutional! A definite jump from Socialism to Communism.

This is so crazy. I don't know why I am so shocked though I really don't. We saw this coming, people didn't want to believe the truth. This administration is NOT for the people. May I ask what good this Bill will do?

‘SEC. 3. SENSE OF CONGRESS.

It is the sense of Congress that the number of participants in approved national service positions, including the Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) and the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), should grow to reach 250,000 participants by 2014.

What did they call the Nazi youth corps???????????????? :fie:

I just tried reading that bill and I can't find where it states what it's purpose is.

Can anybody really make sense of what the purpose is? Who is the "Corporation"??

Notice that almost every paragraph leaves the "corporation" the ability to change that paragraph.

This is all about the Hitler, I mean, Obama Brown Shirts. I think this is an attempt to do an end run around posse comitatus. What better way to have a militarized "peace" force at your fingertips and not run afoul of the constitution.

Dark days are ahead for this country unless you keep contacting your elected representative.
