After reading the review at TTAG (Gear Review: Ghost Inc. Evo Elite Trigger Connector for GLOCKs | The Truth About Guns) about the new Ghost Inc. Evo Elite Trigger Connector for GLOCKs, I was intrigued and ordered the same setup as in the review: the Evo Elite Trigger Connector and the Complete Spring Set from Ghost Inc..
Installing the new connector takes some patience as it needs to be fitted to your gun. What that means is that you (1) detail strip the firearm, (2) install the connector, (3) reassemble the entire firearm, and (4) dry fire it. If it actually dry fires you are good to go. If not, you need to (5) detail strip the firearm, (6) remove the connector, (7) file off a small amount of the trigger control tab, and then repeat steps (2-4). This iterative process reduces the trigger control tab until the gun dry fires. After installing the new connector, replacing the firing pin spring, trigger spring, and reduced power firing pin safety spring is pretty simple. Now, my previous trigger setup was the Glock factory trigger with a Dremel polishing job done. So before final assembly, I did polish the new connector as well.
The end result is a trigger that has the same pull weight as the Glock factory trigger, but does not have the typical Glock bump (the pre-travel resistance when the trigger bar bumps into the connector) right before the trigger breaks. Just by dry firing the gun, I could notice the difference. I just came back from the range and can confirm that the trigger breaks really smooth, improving accuracy, while the pronounced trigger reset stays the same.
I can only highly recommend the Ghost Inc.Evo Elite Trigger Connector and the Ghost Inc. Complete Spring Set for Glocks.
