Georgia Lt. Governor

Looking over the upcoming ballot I see no candidate for Lt. Governor that stands for the 2nd amendment. Casey Cagle has made statements along the lines of "be happy where we are" concerning firearms law changes. Tricia McCracken is a little known liberal with no stance being given. Carol Porter seems to waffle on the issue. Anyone know any good possible write-in candidates?

I thought Cagle wasn't going to run due to health (back) issues. I could be wrong, though.

Hadn't heard anything about heath issues. He's still on the early vote ballet which means he'll be on the July 20th primary which is when I'll vote.

He still ran for Lt. Governor though. At least he was on my ballot and qualified on April 26th.

There is a difference between running unopposed for Lt. Gov. than running for Governor with seven others in the race. Casey had some health issuse late last year and he decided not to run for Governor.

Good point. I probably would not have voted for him as Governor anyway since there's just to much gray area on a few issues I'm interested in. Still don't know what I'm going to do for the Lt. Governor slot come November.

Just received an "Election Alert" card from the NRAPVF that endorses Casey Cagle as Lt. Governor and Brian Kemp as Secretary Of State. I find it odd that they would endorse Cagle because of his statements about being happy where we are concerning firearms law changes. Guess there was no better choice.

Casey Cagle is a strong supporter of Georgia Carry (was at the annual convention) and to the best of my knowledge.. citizen carry rights -- that's where my vote is going.

Looking over the choices he will probably be my choice also. My main concern was his statement that we should be happy where we are concerning gun laws. GeorgiaCarry pressed on and caused some fantastic changes regardless of that statement.
