Georgia law

Going on vacation to Georgia. Going to the aquarium, coca cola company, zoo, etc etc. On their websites, firearms are "prohibited" or " no guns on premises." Tried to do some reading up on but can't find if it's actually restricted by law to carry into those areas. Anyone know for sure what law dictates?

Do “No Gun Signs” Have the Force of Law? NO
Must Inform Officer Immediately on Contact By Law? NO
Carry In State Parks/State & National Forests/WMA/Road Side Rest Areas? YES/YES/YES/YES

Note that there may be security checkpoints with X-rays and metal detectors at certain tourist locations. I haven't been to Atlanta for a while, so I don't know the current state. Understand what is "criminal trespass" in this context (see Georgia Carry : An information clearinghouse for Georgia Firearms License issues and news » Frequently Asked Questions)

PS: Don't forget to visit Stone Mountain. You can carry there. Also, stay away from Atlanta rush hour traffic, a.k.a., Interstate parking.

Remember any private business can have their own rules. We may not like it, but they have that right. Your choice to give them your money. You may not get in trouble for breaking a law, but you can get trespassed (told to leave). Police can charge you with trespass, but not with a weapon violation (WA State)

I know Disney is stricter than TSA.

As Nik Clark stated in the Wisconsin Carry, Inc group on Facebook:

"I pledge to never patronize a business that publicly requests that I not carry in their stores. I have
more self-respect than to patronize a business that wants my money, but not my gun."

Well Said.... I too will not spend money with ANTI-gun establishments!

For certain the Aquarium and World of Coca Cola have wands/security to prevent armed access.
Signs do not carry legal weight, but they can ask you to leave and if you do not then you can be arrested for Link Removed. So... don't refuse to leave if asked.

Coca Cola Museum and CNN Tour have metal detectors. NO ONE gets in with a gun or knife! Aquarium sometimes has security with wands, but I could have gotten in with my CCW the last time I was there, if I'd dared to try. (I didn't.) Haven't been to the zoo yet, though I've been to Coke, CNN Tour, Aquarium several times. Braves even tried to ban POLICE OFFICERS from carrying inside their stadium, but the outcry made them change that policy back to what it was before. Carried at Stone Mountain last Sunday night with no problem, although I saw a sign walking in that said people and bags are subject to search. No one tried--large crowd for laser show after a hard rain.

As for Stone Mountain:

Q: Can I carry at Stone Mountain Park?
A: Yes. GeorgiaCarry.Org filed a lawsuit against the Stone Mountain Memorial Association. As a result they no longer have a local ordinance prohibiting carry at the park for people with a valid Georgia Weapons License.

This obviously applies to carry permits with reciprocity in Georgia as well.
