~The Dude Abides~
George Zimmerman went shopping for a tactical shotgun recently.
Let's hope that both he and his entire family stay safe.

Its news. If you do not want news, turn off your information highways and take a nap.
I wouldn't say it's exciting news, but maybe it's an item of interest. Lots of people on this forum post details about their new gun purchases and they're not as famous as Zimmerman.
Who the f*ck cares? Leave the man alone. Sometimes this country blows my mind...
I think the bigger issue here is that they cast Ben Affleck to play Batman/Bruce Wayne in the next Batman/Superman film...
That's news.
This $hit isn't.
You're just solidifying my point. People post here on their own accord plus none of the news agencies would run a story about it. Unless Outlaw is Zimmerman your point doesn't change the fact that the man deserves to be left alone. It's bad enough that almost every black person wants him dead.
I'm not so sure he does want to be left alone. Bear with me for a moment....
The headline of the Blaze gossip-page is misleading. For one thing, he wasn't "shopping," he supposedly went to the Kel-Tec factory in Cocoa, FL to get some information on the "legality of buying a shotgun" according to the "report." I think the "report" is more akin to a "reported sighting," but in any case, he wasn't at a retail location, and even if he was, getting the shotgun that he was inquiring about (the KSG) is next to impossible because of Kel-Tec's years-long difficulty with keeping production numbers apace with demand, with the KSG and the RFB being at the bottom of the list in availability since either of them were released in the retail market.
So basically, the gossip show, TMZ, caught wind of GZ touring the factory, and some paparazzi got inside while he was there to snap at least one pic for TMZ, as it's TMZ's watermark clearly seen on the pic posted at the Blaze:

George doesn't look unhappy at all that he's getting attention there to me. The Kel-Tec employee looks a little apprehensive, but GZ looks as at-home in front of the camera as a Hollywood starlet on the Red Carpet on Emmy night.
None of this is to criticize GZ if attention is what he's seeking. He's probably practicing for whenever he has a book to promote, which is fine, I'm a committed capitalist, and have no problem with him making money from telling his life's story if people want to buy it. But I don't see where he's displaying a wish to be left alone.

KSG is a great defensive weapon. Chances are GZ was looking to cut in line and grab one.
It was also a Kel-Tec that he used to defend himself against TM.
I'm with jfisch. The crap the Media reports on is completely ridiculous. I have my phone set up to send my push notifications for major breaking news events. Some of the time, i's works. Boston bombing for example, it went off non stop. Most of the time however, it's worthless ********* that doesn't affect anybody. For example, a few days ago a got one "BREAKING NEWS: BRADLEY MANNING HAS DECIDED TO LIVE AS A FEMALE. HE WISHES TO BE CALLED CHELSEA." Who the f*ck cares? I'm never going to visit him in prison, so why do I need to know what his tranny name is going to be? That has absolutely no news value other than for town gossip and ratings. George Zimmerman was and is just an everyday guy. The fact that the media jumps all over any tiny little thing about him that could stir controversy or gossip is disgraceful in my opinion.
I'm just wondering why anyone thinks TMZ reports "news" in the first place? I agree with you; a guy taking a tour of a factory is not news. I have no idea why the Blaze picked it up from TMZ. Maybe Beck (and crew) aspire to be the online version of the Enquirer. I will definitely take their "coverage" of this "story" into account from now on.
