General Firearms

I am new to the land of concealed carry esp. with a pistol. I have never fired one until now, only fired M16 rifle. I think that we should all stick together so that we can keep our rights. I am married to a person in Canada and I don't know if I could move there because I feel I would lose this right. I only hope this country does not follow in their footsteps.

First, welcome.

Second, I absolutely agree with you, but as you'll find if you stick around here for a while, most can't even agree that CC'ing and OC'ing are both good ways to carry, each side has their own reason why one is the holy grail. :yes4:

Canada's experiment is to (1) eliminate all handguns, (2) prevent handguns from coming into Canada, and (3) see if this makes a difference in their crime rate compared with the USA, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.

Whether it will work or not, and whether it is true or not, is not easy to tell.

Getting rid of all handguns is not such an easy thing. Not everyone believes the same way as the Canadian government does on handguns.

40% of US households have a firearm, and in most cases this includes a handgun.

By Scalia's own words, that which is popular is constitutional regarding firearms.

Canadas violent gun crime is down. Working.

Let's not forget thier economy is better then ours. Crime rates goes back to so many factors, just changing one will not make much of a difference. Then it is Canada a cold land makes people think of keeping warm, so they stay inside thier homes more and are less likey to get in trouble.

Don't live in Canada, at one time did a considerable amount of hunting in Canada, not worth the trouble anymore, if the evil gun is the problem the police can give up theirs first.
