Not bad. Since you obviously aren't concerned with going for bullseyes, you should read up on "Flash Sight Picture" and it might be worth trying. It's basically just focusing on your target, then briefly on your front sight to make sure you're in the right zip code. Other people elsewhere can explain it better, but it's kind of in between "point and shoot" (short range) and getting the perfect sight picture (long range) with regards to defensive shooting.

The gist is that if you have a crappy sight picture, but it is pointed at the target, you will still make contact. For example, if you purposely align your front sight post left, right, up or down; but it is still in your rear sight, you will still hit center mass (just not a bull). So if you have a good point and shoot technique, taking an extra 10th of a second to glance at the front sight will improve your chances.

Anyway, there's gobs of stuff on the web.

This was 35 rounds (LC9) using the sights at 10yds

But I'm more proud of this one, also at 7yds.

The first one was over about 15 minutes, the second using FSP and took less than 1 minute of actual shooting and mag changes.

Not bad. Looking at the second target I'd say you needed to work a little bit on a smoother trigger pull, even using FSP; however, I've got an LC9 and know it's long, annoying trigger well, so I won't ding ya on it ;) Even with the Galloway kit, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm not one to mess with the factory settings on things. I don't mind accessorizing, but if I didn't like the trigger pull I would have bought a different gun. It takes some getting used to, but I think of it as an added safety to avoid an inadvertent trigger pull. It takes getting used to, but once you do it's fine. If you noticed the text below the pics, in the first one I was trying to get bull's-eyes. If you think about it I failed miserably because I only got about half in it (18 of 35). In the second one I was going for center mass at a fairly rapid pace - 100% accurate!
