FW Teen Dies After Being Shot In Head By Burglars

This happened not so very far from me. Very sad. Could this have been prevented? Perhaps. I do not know if they had a security system but if they did it either was not on, or not working as it should. If a working security system had been on it is doubtful they would have returned to a house being burglarized. An alarm may not prevent someone from breaking in but once that alarm goes off and an alarm sent it will guaranty the BG will not be inside long. This reduces your lose greatly and lessens the chance of the home owner walking in on a burglary in progress. One thing that everyone with an alarm should have is a cellular back up in case the phones go down. If this house had had an alarm like this and it had been on this young man would most likely be alive today.
