Just wondering what people thought about FPSRussia? Does anyone know how he has access to all the weapons he shows in his YouTube videos? Any thoughts on his fake Russian accent? Not trying to bash the guy, just curious on people thoughts. I wish I had half the guns he claims to have.

1) he started out as a game.reviewer (fps-frames per second)

2) he is an avid gun collector that he bought with money from game.reviewing.

3)as a joke he did a fake russian character to see how guns from games performed, that became a hit and overtook game reviewing.

4) he will often explain that the guns are on loan, less since he started making the big bucks.

5) the mrs. loves watching the videos and she is inspired to get more guns because of him... for that I am graitful for him.

There are various "formulas" that have come out. Some you tubers you can google. Pretty much though, its 1 - 3 dollars per thousand views (mobile views don't count). They also have to have advertising turned on, and that dictates where in the 1 - 3 range they get paid.

Multimillion view big you tubers:
Fpsrussia, Freddiew, epic meal time, estimated $300k - over a million a year.

That seems to be the consensus online.

I enjoy watching him BUT

He has some videos where he's practicing rather unsafe firearm handling. He brandished a gun at a drive through, he was pointing a gun at himself and others with his finger in the trigger, and he even ate food off the handle of a pistol (yes, I didn't make that up).

He's also somewhat of a fake, not only his accent, but he fakes a lot of his shots to make him appear as though he's a better shot; but I can understand that since he's more into entertainment then anything.

He has a friend that owns a gun shop where he borrows a lot of firearms, as well as being able to purchase ones through the rather large sums of money he makes through youtube advertisers. He started out as a first person shooter (FPS) video game commentator (hence the FPS name) and the accent was just a gimmick for entertainment.

I enjoy his videos, but realistically his unsafe practices infuriate me, especially since he gives responsible gun owners a bad name, as well as teaches his millions of viewers that its "ok" and "funny" do do stuff like that.

Oh hell no, leave Kyle out of this. lol I have been watching him for almost two years, he isn't a ''joke''. I've listened to him on a podcast he does have firearms training, he lives in a class III weapons state, and most of those firearms he really does own. FPSRussia FTW!! (I'm a big fan)

@RJ_Whitlock I'm sorry, I know people think he's real "cool" and funny and all, I admit I even enjoy watching him. But watch this video, then I want any sane person to rationalize how this is in any way safe or what the firearm community should be endorsing:

I have to agree with milspec1911, alot of his videos he has broken so many basic safety rules its not even funny. God knows what his firearms training actually teaches... The epic meal time with the constant pointing of guns and the eating off them. Oh the video of pointin the guy at the people in the drive thru...

His fake russian accent it kinda funny although he does use a little too much of that explosive stuff in his targets.

That guy has a lot of firearms he uses and a lot of Ammo. I just am amazed.
