Who says you need a firearm to cause mass casualties? One in custody, police don't know if he is the only suspect.

Amtrak maintains a gun free policy, BTW. All firearms must be in checked baggage.

Amtrak - Policies - Firearms in Checked Baggage

And Amtrak conducts random searches, both in the station, and while in transit: Link Removed

BTW, Amtrak trains are also First Amendment exclusion zones as well: "Because of safety reasons, First Amendment activities are not permitted on board Amtrak trains, nor on train platforms," Amtrak - Policies - First Amendment Policy

The train's last stop before this was the MI town that a number of 0bama's former cohorts in DC have property in while they work in Chicago such as Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod along with a known troublemaker, Louis Farrakhan.

Stabbing knives are not banned on amtrak. The only thing that is banned on amtrak is your right to defend yourself.

Name one public transportation system where you are legally allowed to carry a loaded firearm. Some won't even transport you with it unloaded in their baggage areas while Amtrak will.

Are you ready...I am going to give you three...here we go. Virginia Railway Express, a commuter train, the DC subway as long as the trains are in Virginia, and any commuter bus in the NOVA area. How did I do? By the way, amtrak occasionally takes VRE folks but not if they are armed.

Ya see, just about any Virginia enterprise will welcome 2nd amendment folks, armed to the teeth. Maybe things are different in Florida. Oh well, not everyone can live in one of the most gun friendly states in the country. BTW...do y'all get to open carry yet. If not y'all need a Florida citizens defense league to help ya out on these issues.

You got me there. It used to be that the VRE would not allow guns period and still doesn't once you cross into DC. Greyhound will not transport your gun in Virginia. Amtrak Thruways buses from Charlottesville to Richmond do not allow guns of any kind. To get from Charleston WV to Miami, a very roundabout route is required or an overnight stay in Alexandria or Richmond if you want to transport your firearms on Amtrak.

Open carry by Florida law is allowed for travel to or from hunting, fishing, or firearms ranges. And while doing the same. Open carry on private property is at the discretion of the owner.
