Forever Stamps - like money in the Bank.

Got Beretta's?
My wife is to say the least, frugal.
She bought a ton of forever stamps when they first came out.
Little did I know that she guards them like a dog with a bone.
For the past week or two, I have sent several letters to my Asshat Senators - My NY State Senator and Assembly persons.
Yesterday I wrote to my US Representative.

This morning I am having my morning coffee and I hear a scream from her office/sewing room.
Have you been into my stamps? Good lord I thought, she actually counts them?

After several minutes of denial and trying to convince her that she is just having a dementia attack, I gave in and admitted that I have been using her precious stamps. And thank you for buying them when you did as I may be needing many more before this is over. Then I closed the conversation with - But that still does not alter the fact that you are crazy.........dear.

There is an strange similarity to a recent event here! "Why don't you just e-mail them?" Well, because I think they pay more attention to an actual letter. Maybe I'm the one that's nuts.

Well I have it on good authority that:
A. They do read the emails.
B. Actual letters get priority
C. Hand written letters are best, however I recently learned that the teaching of cursive writing has been eliminated in Buffalo Schools.

The letters are opened - read and categorized by a bunch of interns.
The Categories get form letters in return,
The categories are counted and reported.

My letters go into the whako file I suppose because he always starts out with As you know I am a strong supporter of the Second Amendment.

Dear Senator Schumer.

Like it or not I am one of your constituents.
You totally ignored me on Obama Care.
You have ignored my point of view on just about every issue in the past 10 years.
All I can tell you now is don't believe the hype and hysteria on Gun Control that is purposely being spread by your friends in the media.
Of all the talking points and rhetoric I have heard very little truth which leads me to suspect the "majority of gun owners" statements as more BS.
Spare me the usual form letter saying how much of a supporter of the Second Amendment you are.
As far as I am concerned you are just embarrassing yourself and you are denigrating me as being stupid.

Remember that as a Statesman in the Senate your responsibility is to all New York Citizens, not just the ones that happen to live in and near New York City.
They already have their complete and total gun control in the city. Leave the rest of us in the state and Country alone. We don't want it and we don't need it.
Either propose eliminating the Second Amendment through constitutional means or Fight to protect it. There are no other options.

Sincerely,

Not really, just takes them more effort to ignore them ;)

When I had problems with my VA disability I wrote my senator and got the form letter. I wrote my congressman and it was all taken care of within 3 weeks and I received a call from him where we talked for over an hour about VA health care.

Do not mess with a woman's forever stamps. Get your own darn stamps lol. I have mine hidden. I told all of them to get stamps but they think I am the darn post office. When the husband says he needs a stamp I tell him he knows where the post office is lol.

Skip the post office, just buy them at your grocery store. Good for avoiding a "gun free zone" ;)

In New Zealand there is no requirement to put a postage stamp on a letter from an individual to a member of parliament. I take it you don't have a similar facility over there?

Nope, we do not. The only thing free over here is money and food stamps for worthless freeloaders that vote Democrat.
