For winter and cooler weather concealed carry

Sweaters, sweat shirts, pull over shirts and button up shirts all with a elastic or Velcro slit on the side (left or right depending on carry).

put on sweater or shirt, open slit and place it around your OWB holster. Put on jacket or coat.

Now you have warm clothes on and access to your weapon by just moving your jacket or coat back. You do not have to pull up your shirt to
access your weapon. Would look something like this........ I no artist but you may get the picture.....here I am with a red gun slit sweater on.

Good idea, bad idea, or what ???

Correct me if I am not understanding what you mean but if you have a jacket on, all you need to conceal your handgun is an OWB holster. You dont need to cut a slit in your shirt under the coat.

My point being if you are wearing a OWB and you need to wear a sweater or a pull over sweat shirt then the OWB holster will be under the sweater or sweat shirt. Meaning if you needed access to your weapon you have to deal with the outer jacket, plus pull up the sweater or sweat shirt or even a pull over wind vest (like a golf wind vest). If the attire under the coat or jacket (be it a sweater, or wind vest or whatever) had a gun slit then the gun would be exposed under the jacket only and not the next level of attire.

Thanks for asking....it's just an idea I am toying with for my own personal use...my wife can alter the shirts, sweaters, wind vest or whatever to put in the slit with either Velcro or elastic banding where the slit would be closed when not wearing the OWB....

If you're going for looks, in that metro-sexual way, carry a comb. If you're going for self protection carry a weapon. Jus saying...........

I see your point, if you don't like to tuck your sweaters in(I don't) and it's cold enough to need both a sweater and jacket... this isn't a bad idea. Will it make you rich? Probably not... but, if it works for you than do it.

By the way, nice flannel... ;)

If I'm already wearing a jacket, I'll be wearing my Miami Classic rig. I'm not a fan of belt holsters (though I own a dozen [or so] and use them infrequently). If there's a possibility of taking the jacket off, I wear an under-the-shirt holster that is very similar to a shoulder holster. I also like neck holsters, pocket holsters, and ankle holsters.
