For fun: Conceal Carry an NFA Machine Gun

I can only drool over them at this point, though someday I'd like to own a machine gun still legal under the unconstitutional 1986 ban. I hope to see some legislation or court case that overturns this someday, but in the meantime:

has anyone here that has one of these fine weapons ever carried them concealed? Have you 'trenchcoated' a tommy gun?

You might possibly hide a Skorpion, or an M-11 .380 maybe, you would have to be Andre the giant to even pretend to CC a Tommy gun.

If you are gonna try to conceal carry something like a Thompson, go ahead and go all the way with it.

Buy a BAR instead and have it cut down 'whippet gun' style ala Bonnie and Clyde.

Depends on what YOU'RE state says you can carry. Maine has a concealed HANDGUN permit as a MG is not a handgun OR rifle you can not carry one with the permit.

For "not" fun. Some states' concealed carry specify handguns only.
Va does, although it wasn't always that way.

Well the "for fun" was in reference to the thread. I don't think anyone should conceal carry for fun. It's a very serious duty.

Although it'd be fun as heck to own a machine gun.

Ya I think most states specify handgun in their CC/OC laws. I'm fairly certain that in most states you can't go walking down the street with a loaded carbine or shotgun strung across your back.

In Maine you only need a permit to carry a handgun concealed. You can carry whatever you want to in the open.

Haha I imagine that still doesn't happen very often. Get all motarded and go grocery shopping with a full combat loadout. I can't see that going over very well in any state.

Not often but a few years ago the police chief on Portland was a bit of a nut and VERY anti. We have several very public meetings where we had 50 plus people show up fully armed standing around in public places. We had le's show up every time but no arrests..

This should answer all your questions lol

Holy sh*tballs. "I have a high-risk security job, and I'm worried about taking several .308 rounds, so I duct-taped a second SAPI to my back." That is f*ckin golden.
